Guy seems like a likable nice guy even with the douchey vibe he puts out. He's the chef version of Brendan Fraiser. Just seems like he is probably just really nice to everyone all the time. Team Guy.
Is he? I really have no idea. I just know him DDD and that game show he hosted. I stand by my Brendan Fraiser comment though. He has to be a nice guy.
feel like there should be a show where a bourdain like person goes somewhere with a celebrity (different celebrity every episode), they eat dinner, they get trashed with them for one night, then they eat a hangover meal together.
Bourdain's company had a show on like Esquire where they let a celebrity pick where they want to go and built a Parts Unknown-esque episode around it. Was pretty good, not sure if it's still on.
There's a ton of material on it, but all seems to link back to this article: http://www.citypages.com/restaurants/guy-fieri-in-diners-drive-ins-and-disasters-6753092
That's the only thing I've ever seen. One angry rant by a disgruntled - admitted asshole - former colleague who is suing him just doesn't do it for me. Maybe Guy is as asshole, but it would take a lot more than that to convince me.
It's really not though. This opinion drives me up the wall. The piano sounds so much better. Plus Reznor's delivery just sounds so much better. An old ass country and western singer singing about "the needle tears a hole"...ok
Not saying he didn't. Just saying for the life of me I can't figure out why people think Cash's version is better and was hoping someone would defend the position. I gave reasons for my position including a) i find the piano background of the original to be superior to the guitar on Cash's and b) I find the singer's voice on the original more pleasing and easier to connect with
I was just making a comment, not that I actually care about it or anything. But, I believe the pain in Johnny Cash's voice much more than Trent Reznor, who made his whole act out of self-loathing (pretty common at that time in music). That is why I like it more, plus I don't really care for NIN. Thank you for your time.
Because you can feel the pain in Cash's voice as he sings it. You say it's easier to connect with Reznor's voice, well some people think it's an easier/deeper connection with Cash, especially in light of the demons he had in his life. To each their own. If you can't tell I'm a bigger fan of the Cash version but I like NIN's too.
Yeah the whole sucking Johnny Cash's dick like you were his fan for decades before he died thing is so old and overplayed now. We get it, you really liked Folsom Prison Blues.
Not your best effort farva. Maybe go home, have a drink or two, come back with a better shot next time.
