Talked about it extensively in the Xbox thread, but it really does feel SO good. Everything except the battle pass and the playlists are top notch
Wish I had a computer that could run this well. Never could get into Halo multi-player before, but was hoping to have a computer built to try and get into this one because I'm hearing great things.
Price, for the most part. Just started Grad school and probably shouldn't put as much money as I want to into a really good computer. Wasn't expecting to be back in school in my mid-30's, so it threw a wrench in those plans.

I built a pretty damn good PC with everything but the GPU for ~$900 and budgeted $500-600 for one of the 3000 series just haven’t been able to get one. So I’ve had a reaaaally fast and sweet ass work computer for almost a year now
3070/3080/3090 Used to enter the newegg shuffle raffles whenever they had those but never won and just got tired of doing it. Not sure if these are ever going to be available at msrp My original reason for building the PC is for streaming Oculus VR / Steam VR gaming which requires the most powerful shit on the market currently to run it the way I want to. I'll use the PC for other stuff like Counterstrike most likely and Warzone but the end game is to have a good enough PC for wireless VR streaming. But I'm also not in a huge hurry so I just haven't felt like spending a few hundred on a lesser product to hold me over.
Gotta keep your eye on Best Buy. Don't think they're marking anything up, and they have a lot of cards to choose from.
I have total tech for Best Buy; I’ll keep an eye out for graphics cards and if I see anything, I’ll try and snag it. Any particular brand you want me to stay away from? I’d personally rather stick with either ASUS or EVGA, but the Aorus Extreme looks alright as well.
Would definitely prefer those two brands but the longer I wait the less picky I'm going to be about that. At least I haven't read anything about any brands putting out those cards that are legitimately poor quality. If you happen to find multiple of the models the 3080 is probably the preferred one. Good sweet spot between performance and price.
I’ve played about 5 hours and am only a level four on the battle pass. Awful. But man do I really enjoy the game

i feel like its very doable if you dont try for a 30 series. a 10 series now then a real one when prices are better ia probably the best approach. so far cyberpunk is the only thing that my 1070 hasnt bewn able to keep up with.
I'm an over achiever though. I want one that can do some crazy shit. If I'm going to build a new one might as well go all out.
Gaming on a 1070 beats the hell out of sitting around waiting for 3090s to suddenly become plentiful besides if you build the rest of it right today then you'll be able to still buy that ridiculous card when the market sorts out and just swap it into your existing machine. Then you can sell the old card to offset the cost of the new card
Very true. I'm not hurting for stuff to play on console but do want to try out Halo and then eventually Starfield is what I really want one to play.

I am trying to give them a pass on the battle pass. The cosmetics will get better and they've started giving 50xp per match completion. They'll trickle out content on the battle pass and fix it even more to get good pub for "fixing it". Battle pass issues aside man it feels so good. I can just sit in ranked to watch the levels go up. Very few games reward movement (not sliding etc but map movement) as much as Halo does. Getting that flank in and just meleeing the hell out of peot from behind is so nice.
Is the melee system broken for any of you? Some lunges are insane and have you turn on a dime while sometimes i can be right next to them and miss.
343 is fucking up this launch. Couldn’t make a free for all custom game with my friends. Their game mode options suck ass.
Haven’t played a Halo since Reach. Will probably try this one out since it’s on Game Pass though campaign looks like fun, wish Halo 5 was on PC so I could catch up on the story
I guess the Halo subreddit got so bad they shut it down for a couple of days. What's the complaints? I thought people were likeing the game?
lots of gripes about the battle pass and slow progression for unlocks. Then someone went into offline mode and accidentally found Swat and Attrition game modes that can’t be used in multiplayer yet and users started doxxing and sending death threats to 343 employees over an “incomplete” multiplayer experience
Isn't it technically still in beta? Good grief gamers are out of hand. I get that gaming companies are getting pretty greedy but damn.
