Jk. Love when drunk DirtBall watches Hamilton at 3AM
A few years ago DelapThrows got me a shirt with this on it for part of TMB secret Santa.
I’ve worn it so much that the words are pretty faded now
How can they forget one of the best lines?
I mean you gotta put some thought into the letter but the sooner the better to get your right hand man back.
Not the most lyrically creative, but great delivery.
Btw I can kill this whole song. Sometimes I do it all, sometimes I’m a purist and leave out George’s lines.
Watched the Netflix show Song Exploders episode on Wait for It. Very legal. Very cool.
Picked up the soundtrack on vinyl today from my sister in law.
Sounds like you seized the opportunity you saw
Got drunk past night an d realized this was what i wanted to watch going to sleep. Made it through wait for it before falling asleep but it was totally worth i
We are same. Not sure if they re-pressed it but I noticed the price went from ~350 on Amazon to 79.99 so I got mom on it post-haste.
Looks like you still haven’t sobered up
Hamilton doesn't hesitate
He exhibits no restraint
He takes and he takes and he takes
And he keeps winning anyway
He changes the game
He plays and he raises the stakes
And if there’s a reason
He seems to thrive when so few survive,
Then God damnit...I’m willing to...
WAIT FOR IT
HERE COMES THE GENERAL....
Nathanial Greene, the fighting Quaker, what a true ass fucker. Cornwallis had no clue what to do.
Guilford Court House, Hobkirk’s Hill, Eutaw Springs.....Greene forever the GOAT
Couldn’t even imagine what our colonies would be if Greene survived and was the rightful successor to Washington.
Take it to the parents naming their kids weird names thread
Anyone got a version of “It’s Quiet Uptown” without LMM? I still “cry erry tim” but want to hear it with an actual vocal talent.
Maybe this? Didn’t listen.
Also listening to that before and after my kid were pretty different experiences
#Tennessee Volunteers social team with the early tweet of the year.
And just like that it's over, we tend to our wounded, we count our dead.
Black and White soliders wonder alike if this really means freedom.
Can we agree that Charles Lee was a Grade A bitch? Almost certainly the worst “general” in American History.
Yeah, he’s not the choice I woulda gone with
If I recall, he shit the bed at the battle of Monmouth
Fucking traitor ass bitch
But seriously, no love for the Saratoga campaign? The traitorous Ben Arnold won that shit that led to the French joining in the campaign. Gates on his horse claiming a false flag. SMDH. Americas greatest traitor also, their greatest hero. What a life:
Lee was a shitbag, but this is an awesome quote of his
“The strongest proof of a good heart,” he said, “is to love dogs and dislike mankind.” ”
Excerpt From: Rick Atkinson. “The British Are Coming: The War for America, Lexington to Princeton, 1775-1777.” iBooks.
He should start to say that to anybody who would listen
Got a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar. Looking forward to taking the film for a spin on that today.
A bit off topic here, but I was reading something earlier and found out that In The Heights is being turned into a movie, set to be released in June 2021. It got me to listening to the soundtrack, and there are some really good songs on it. This is one of my favorites.
It’s pretty nice.
Also, it trips me out every time I hear this song on a playlist or on Sirius that Mandy Patinkin is singing it. This guy just doesn't scream Broadway musical to me.
The movie is done. It was supposed to be out a while ago but got pushed due to COVID.
It’s also starring Anthony Ramos (Laurens/Philip)
Yep. He was the original Sonny in the broadway production of In The Heights and then played Usnavi in DC at the Kennedy Center. I think he's really good in that role.
Hot take (but one I think is true): Hamilton is more genius than In the Heights (I mean, making founding fathers into a hip hop musical is insane), but In the Heights is a better show than Hamilton.
edited to add - there are some bootleg recordings of the reunion concert on youtube.
They are great.
I mean in the traditional musical sense, I agree. In the Heights is a fantastic traditional Broadway musical and a great show, but comparing the two is a bit like comparing Schindler's List to Star Wars. Both are highly entertaining Broadway productions, but Hamilton completely transformed the way the public thinks about musical theater, and on a technical level, the stage design, construction and how it was married with the choreography was a game changer.
opens video 1:13:21 holy shit
30 seconds in....this is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. 1:30 in...WHERE THE FUCK IS PART 2!!!!
2:15 is the absolute best! Apparently, Act 2 is still being put together
