I would go If I didn't live 930 miles away. Happy Endings Cast Reuniting at Vulture Festival At the end of the 2013 season, Vulture essentially called ABC's decision to cancel Happy Endings the worst TV business strategy of the year. So, at this year's Vult Fest, a.k.a. Vulture Festival, we have decided to do what we can to right that wrong: Almost three years since the show went off the air, Vulture is reuniting the whole cast — Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Casey Wilson, Adam Pally, and Damon Wayans Jr. — along with the show's creator David Caspe and showrunner Jonathan Groff. A Happy Endings reunion was something we've wanted to do since the festival started, so we couldn't be happier the stars — in this case, TV stars with busy schedules — aligned. Sponsored by Hulu and moderated by Vulture editor Jesse David Fox, the panel will be held on May 22 at 4:30 p.m. at New York's Milk Studios (450 West 15th Street). Tickets will be $40 and go on sale Wednesday, April 20, at 10 a.m. EST at VultureFestival.com. We highly recommend you get online at exactly ten because tickets are going to go quickly, and the event is sure to be ah-mah-zing.
Currently watching some show that came on after Game 6 of the Thunder and Warriors. Some comedy called Wrecked. Plane crashes and people are stuck on an island. Comedy version of Lost maybe? Anyway... Jane is a flight attendant. And I don't mean Eliza Coupe; I mean Jane.
It seems like it. She wasn't shown after the crash at all. Pretty disappointing. Still a great job to cast Jane's type A ass as a flight attendant. Just stupid to not feature her tight ass regularly in the show. Hopefully she couldn't do more than one episode because she's busy working on a secret Happy Endings revival.
Rewatching this since I found the DVDs, there's a ton of cameos (or maybe they're cameos now cuz people got famous since). TJ Miller is in this as Shershow for goodness sake.
Has this been mentioned? http://www.ew.com/article/2016/08/02/eliza-coupe-happy-endings-wrecked It was recently announced that you and the rest of the Happy Endings cast are getting together at EW’s Popfest to read a never-before-seen episode. Yeah, I think everybody is trying to get that thing picked up on Netflix or Hulu or something; I don’t know why it wouldn’t. I mean, do I need to finance it? I got some money. I feel like I should. I know I’d really appreciate you doing that. Alright, let’s put it out there that I’m going to finance it, and then what we’ll do is when everyone is like, “Oh, where is the money?” I’ll just be like, “Oh, we need to get financers.” And then it will be well, we’re already in motion so somebody will jump in. No, that would never work, but let’s put it out there. I like that strategy. Yeah, that Eliza Coupe is going to finance Happy Endings coming back, that’s a hilarious rumor. What will it be like coming back for this one episode? Oh my god. I think first of all, I’m excited for that. I’ve been dying to do Jane again. It’s funny: This is such actor dork talk, but I’ve grown so much as an actor since doing Happy Endings that it’s almost like I’m so competitive with myself, but in a healthy way that it’s like I’d love to do the character now with the knowledge that I’ve learned as an actor just in the last four years since we’ve been done. I just think that it would be fun; there would be more depth, and I think everybody has grown, and everybody has gone on to do other stuff, but I think it would be so cool for us to all come back, jump into these characters again and see if it’s different. Plus, when we went and did the thing in New York, Vulture Fest, it was more like a love fest. We were all like so happy to see each other, it was like even more than when we were doing the show. It was such an amazing time. We all had such a great time with each other, so I think that first of all, when we come back together and do this, I think it’s going to be great and it’s going to be so much fun, and then I think it would be amazing if we could keep going, even if it was just like a stupid little miniseries or movie. Why not? Why do you think the show has endured as a cult favorite? Because I think it’s actually a really great show, and since ABC f—ed it up and didn’t do any sort of press for it and totally just buried the show. People found it, because you find good stuff no matter, and everyone is, “What? How did I miss this?” It’s like Arrested Development; I feel like people discovered that show after it was canceled. I know I did. And I think people are like, “Wait, what the f—?” ABC just completely screwed up, and I think that’s now being noticed and recognized. You can’t deny a really good show and people are finding it, too, because I think it was ahead of its time. I think now the jokes are still really relevant, I think the characters and the content are even weirdly more relevant now than when it was made, which I think is kind of cool. And I feel like there have been so many shows trying to do what we did, and they failed, but yet networks got behind those shows and not ours, and I think people recognize that in a weird way. No show has ever been able to squeeze so many jokes into 22 minutes. I have a problem, I talk too fast on television now. Every thing I do, they’re like, “Hey can you slow down?” I’m like, “Oh right, yeah, I don’t have to fit in 65,000 jokes in under a minute.” Now that I’m thinking about it, I vividly remember Jane making a Lost joke. Yeah, Jane loved Lost. Eliza has no idea.
I don't know anything about that but I know Damon Wayans (Sr.) is starring in the new TV remake of Lethal Weapon. Reviews haven't been good.
A Netflix (I think) commercial about catching up on old shows mentions Happy Endings as one of them. It made me happy and then sad.
Probably was a Hulu commercial then. I was just surprised to hear it getting any publicity. Glad it is but sad that it's basically five fucking years after it needed publicity.
Hulu actually made kind of a big deal about it when it debuted on there last year. At least I think it was last year.
Took a break while wife was watching Gilmore Girls but we watched Season 2 a few weeks and started season 3 last week, probably finish up this weekend. This show is great. Wish I wasn't on the last disc
It's a great rewatcher though. The type where you'll hear jokes the second time through you might've not heard the first time.
I've continued watching this show. Eliza Coupe's character did return but was replaced by a different actress. The show is solid though so I'd recommend giving it a chance to anyone who has yet to do so.
I still watch 4 or 5 episodes a week. Meat the Parrots and Cocktails & Dreams are still top notch comedy.
I’m switching over to nights this week so I’m pulling an all nighter and binging this and damn I miss this show.
I've thought about the Spring Smackdown episode almost daily for the last month because of the cold and snow. I want to be Max and go into bear mode. About to watch it now
I happened to watch that and Cocktails & Dreams yesterday. The difference in the Alex character from season 1 to season 2 is just amazing.
