Dan Campbell needs to have an alcoholic son on staff that almost kills two kids while driving impaired before the SuperBowl to make the franchise less of a joke IMO.
Fwiw I do have a soft spot for the Lions as a few of my closest friends are Lion fans, and we are actively discussing them and the show. The staff is likable and entertaining, but we’ve agreed that the football product - especially defense - is ass.
You can take the man out of Purdue but you can’t take the Purdue out of the man They don’t call it Purdon’t for nothing
each time they go to the broader hutchinson family i feel like were going to real housewives of ann arbor
Show has never held my interest less. Seems like a coaching staff full of Rah Rah guys. They are going to lose a lot of games. Makes me respect Matthew Stanford a little bit more for enduring that organization for all those years and handling it with class.
they’re going to lose a bunch of games because the roster sucks. Has nothing to do with the coaching staff
This is kind of an evergreen thought, but man the lions are going to suck this year. Just top to bottom dreadful
i missed the premiere but i'm surprised at how little focus there's been on Goff as starting QB and Sewell as best young player. feels like some of the position coaches have have had more camera time.
Hard Knocks is almost never about the stars plus Goff is terrible as we saw him with the Rams on the show
Just watched episode three. Duce Staley lost his voice because he yells so goddamn much and then sounded like Mickey Mouse when he was motherfucking the RBs during the joint practices. I loled.
Do you think it bothers Duce Staley that he isn’t even the best athlete/coach in his family? And that he lost out to his sister?
Probably fucking not considering the career he’s had as a player and coach but dump do we need to unpack anything brother? I know you have a sibling. We all good my man?
I've read/seen a lot of people talk about how Goff is barely on the show like it's a problem and I'm confused. He's been on Hard Knocks twice already and is one of the most boring people in the league. There's nothing there to talk about, so I'm glad they've just ignored him. I'm also guessing Sewell has been mic'd up once or twice, too. If he was interesting, he'd be on more. The coaches are on more because they're more interesting. Everyone knew that going in, and it's why HBO was happy about the Lions doing it from the start.
It's kind of absurd that all those RBs stood there and listened to him with a straight face while he was yelling like that. None of them laughing at him in that moment is the most impressive thing anyone has done on the show through three episodes.
Are we not going to talk about how David Blough looks like a skinnier version of MG2 's avatar minus the glasses
