I hope Walz peels the onion back on how truly radical/extreme Vance is. He’s a Curtis Yarvin acolyte and that’s more dangerous and weird than fucking socialism to the avg person.
Libs, predominantly white libs I know are usually late to the game realizing the “why” as they lose ground among people they’d expect are monoliths. Of course it’s the totally corrosive media and social media environment. That’s the delivery method of a bunch of shit that is a lie or blown out of proportion. But otherwise a lot of people seemingly turning on fellow immigrants or pulling the ladder up are sensibly not wanting all the bad shit they left to come to their new country. Thats kinda human nature and way more people feel that way than liberals hope.
The automation ban is so dumb and short sighted by that union. West Coast Union gets paid more because they allowed automation for profit sharing.
inflation reduction act was great but hard to really gauge if kamala had involvement there. and the area where biden has the most left-wing bonafides (labor) doesn't appear to be a strong suit for kamala based on her campaign maneuvering. oh, and as i type, a war seems to be breaking out in the middle east that's at least partially the fault of biden and his admin's decision to let israel do whatever the fuck it wants. but we all know where you stand there
If Biden and his team aren’t planning to release damning info on Trump this month then idk wtf to do with these terminal losers anymore.
Listening to this blowjob talk and knowing he’s pro Trump, I’m open to the idea of feeding him to the sharks.
Well and throw in that the average worker there may be getting paid $150K and they are ok shutting own the economy over this? it just seems political as much as I am pro-Union. I was wondering how they can afford to do something for political reasons, but the 150K seems to explain mostly how.
Joe Brandon better not be a chicken shit if blatant political fuckery needs to be called out on every news show. Demonize the union leader.
It's a tough spot. They are obviously calling his bluff knowing it is not good either way. Harris just needs to stay distant from it.
This was a pretty interesting segment. It makes a lot of sense based on what we are seeing with Project 2025.
The Behind the Bastards on Yarvin is wild. Highly recommend the listen. Yarvin/Thiel/Vance philosophically want a dictatorship.
We do have lots of examples of dictatorships and monarchies working swimmingly with notably no problems and only benefits.
at the risk of facing a Clown Baby style ban, I regret to inform you that Frank died like 20 years ago
Ironic. A nation of people who stole their land are now mad others want the same escape. This is such a horrible country. Other countries do this but they’re all inbred trash who never leave. That’s what we’re becoming.
The US has become this How strong of a correlation is there between people who make anti-immigration policy their religion and those that have never left the US sans perhaps an all inclusive to Mexico
I want to apologize. This guy is just a dogshit fascist that needs to be (redacted) fuck him and the union.
Hot take: Walz answering almost no questions and spending the debate reminding ppl about project 2025 and how fucking weird Vance is as the running mate to a 78 year old felon will help Dems out more than “winning” the vp debate.
As most already know, undocumented people not only do the jobs most Americans dream of, but they also live in accommodations they’d give their right arm for. The best neighborhoods, the best schools, etc.
I don’t know, man. I see the debate tonight as JD getting up there and just spewing GOP talking points, and Walz refusing to take the bait by addressing him and instead reframing the issue in a way that sounds appealing to average folks. (Although 45% of those same average folks will sit there drooling with a blank stare and repeating to themselves “Republican good, Demoncrap bad.”)
Walz is imo the best Democratic politician at addressing GOP attacks on any liberal policy as communist or socialist. I expect him to pierce that bubble a bit. He's exceptional at reframing something the GOP always labels as a negative into a positive under a different term that the simples can comprehend. I don't think this debate will impact any voters, but I do think it could impact how the Democrats frame some topics moving forward.
Speaking of the immigration topic… Black friend of mine has been going on a tangent lately about the Haitians in Springfield, well today he hit a new low. His big thing the last few weeks was how they couldn’t drive and were eating the ducks out of the pond. Today he started in on the ducks again and I stopped him and told him I’m tired of hearing the racist shit. He said “oh there’s racist shit going on but not what you think, they dropped 20k off in this black community…just wait until they try it in whiter communities”. This immigration fight is just about a lost cause.
"They dropped them off" What the fuck does he think happened here? Who dropped them off? And how were they "dropped off"? Someone sent an Uber for 20,000 refugees and put them in...what housing? What does he think happens with political refugees? Goddamn it.
What a dumb son of a bitch. Tell that dumb mother fucker that the same people who push that shit would also deport him and his family if they could. I can’t stand black conservatives, dumbest group of people walking the earth
