Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer you are right. The movies completely left out dobby's transformation from annoying but well intentioned nuisance to one of everyones favorite non-main characters.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer one thing that I hope is changed a bit is the wandering in the forest. while it got boring in the book and definately dragged on, it was supposed to. the whole point was to create a sense of gloom and hopelessness for the reader. if the 1st part of the movie is more than 5-10 minutes of them wandering the forrest it will be very boring and stupid. just spend the majority of the movie, them stealing the locket, and actually doing shit
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer true, they really could turn a lot of the wandering into a 2 minute montage.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer gone in 60 seconds, you just lost ur virginity to a souless ginger that u had to pay. dont set your sights to high. u have no shot with emma watson.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Random question but can anyone explain why the guy that plays Dumbledore in the movies sucks so bad at portraying him like he is in the books? The old guy they had for the first 2 movies played it much better. This small old guy playing Dumbledore comes off like a jack ass. They did a great job with nearly every other casting decision, but Dumbledore is way off since movie 3. Has this been explained or discussed before?
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Hermione crying in the first part of this is going to get pretty annoying also concerned how they are going to handle the polyjuice potion, because they use it a lottttt still psyched though
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer it makes sense once you think of dumbledore as a :aero: who had to kill his :cheely:
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer The movies after that got much much much better. 1 and 2 sucked, 3 was at least starting to head it in the right direction, and 4 on they have become legitimately good movies where they can stand on their own and not have the stigma of being just a off point of the books.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Goblet of Fire and the last one were head and shoulders above the others in terms of film-making, although the latest one was a mediocre Harry Potter movie.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Also the original Dumbledore was Richard fuckin' Harris(The great actor who was in Gladiator as Marcus Aurelius, Unforgivien, Patriot Games, A Man Called Horse, etc). The new one is Michael Gambon who sucks. The only problem with Harris is that he was just too old to play the part in the later movies. Still would rather have Harris than Gambon though.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Gambon has been pretty bad. He lacks that wise confidence of Dumbledore that Harris portrayed masterfully
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer not to mention he fuckin yells, gets way to angry, isn't very wise like you said, and just looks like an angry old man that Harry can never please, as opposed to the mentor who knew exactly what was going on at all times. Cliffs: What Nikon said.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Yea I think in the 3rd movie he yells at all the kids in the big dining hall. And then he gets pissed and shakes Harry in the Goblet of Fire movie when his name turns up in the goblet. There is no sense of a wise grandfather figure. And you would think the director would correct him. At least he's dead for these last two movies. Did anyone explain why they changed his death scene so much?
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer What was so different about it? I really don't remember the movie well enough to recall. Something like how the Death Eaters came up the stairs or where the Order of the Phoenix was maybe?
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer If you're referring to the anti-climactic nature of it instead of the big battle and chase that ensued in the book, the director said it was because he didn't want it to seem like a repeat during the battle for Hogwarts in the 7th (i guess 8th) movie.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer The fuck? 3 was terrible. Wtf was with him getting the Firebolt as the last scene, made no sense. The first 2 were the best adaptations of the books. And the first two had the better Dumbledore. It goes 1&2, 6, 4, 5, 3 in order of best movies.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer But why was Harry hiding under the floor? In the book, wasn't Dumbledore restraining him with his wand which explained how Malfoy was able to disarm him? Just didn't understand why they changed it and made him hide under the floor doing nothing while Dumbledore gets killed. But I can understand they didn't want to take away from the battle in the last movie.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer yeah, not sure that was ever explained. It doesn't really take away from the story though. It's just one of those little changes that annoy fans of the book.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Ok since we are talking about this? Can someone explain me the Chapter "King's Crossing". It was fucking really weird. They never explained what that thing on the side that was making the noise was
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer simply put. It was Harry chiding between dying and going back and continuing to fight. It was part of the whole do what is right or what is easy. Death was easy. Going back and fighting was hard but the right thing to do. The noise in the background I can't remember the explanation on that though.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer homo and I hope it ends with dobby's funeral, it should end at that also- they need to prolong the forest to 30 minutes. and Spoiler I really hope they do the epilogue and snape's story right. snape's story could be a book on its own imo. it was a nice end to the story. even if they add the marriages, they need to have the kids going to hogwarts and have harry give albus severus the speech about how he is named after two of the bravest people he's know
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer I thought of it as Voldemort as a baby and the piece of his soul that was in Harry
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Spoiler snapes tale was possibly the best chapter in the entire series, if they fuck that up i'm leaving the theatre fixed
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Spoiler The child who is in anguish is the 7th horcrux, the piece of V that broke off when the spell backfired
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Why are we spoilering stuff? Quite frankly, if you haven't read the books by now, then who cares if you get spoiled.
