I still think the first game was better. The second one maybe drug on a bit too much. But that scene at the end. Absolutely amazing. I really hope they never do a third.
I want to say yes but gamer culture has always been toxic as fuck towards women so I doubt it was. Edit. It in fact was not. “”Gamergate” was closer to the release of the first gate than the second.
In a simplistic nutshell, Gamers harassing women journalists over perceived wrongs. I hope this doesn’t start another “zombie” type debate. Poor straight white men in the gamer community had it so rough so long they got together to fix those injustices. It was a big thing in 2014-15.
Lol no dude. Gamer gate started in the early/mid 2010’s and wasn’t about a specific game but rather games being made that gave representation to anyone that wasn’t a white straight cis male. It also was a backlash against certain gaming media figures/outlets for calling out this behavior. TLOU2 came out in 2020.
But in the American embassy they have a machine so that their google goes clockwise like we’re used to

Spoiler I've seen discussions saying the viewers of TLOU will be ready for it because HBO folk have probably seen GoT and went thru ned stark dying early. How'd that go for Jack Gleeson's career.... didn't he give up acting altogether because of crazy fans?
Spoiler I guess it depends on they handle the end of s1. In the game, you never see a young Abby discovering what happened. Will they have a little girl discover the scene as the ending to s1? If so, that can foreshadow a bit. I am so so interested how they go about TLOU2 and how they go the motivations and less viewers to who to root for (if anyone)
Going to need a game and non game thread, but if GoT is any indication the game players will just come in the non game thread and make heavy insinuations so everyone knows they know more than you.
There's a non-game thread on the TV board and nobody has committed any infractions in there. Adding something in this threads title indicating that it's semi-spoilery would be ideal though.
There's a book and tv show thread for GOT, should be the same thing for TLOU. Which, there is; as game discussion is included here, and the TV board tries to refrain from that. Do think it would be a good idea to include a spoiler warning in this thread title.
I just think you would see a lot better discussion if the TV show threads were a part of the main board.
