Yessir. I lived around the block from his dispensary, saw him several times per week. He really liked my dog. He drives a huge F-350 dually and always got tickets for parking downtown.
Yeah, deciding to track down your own stolen cell phone in a crowded place and carrying a gun to do it is a special kind of stupid and reckless. Over a fucking cell phone that probably has lost/stolen insurance.
Used to know a Medical device rep who got jumped outside of a bar in Portland because some guys didn't like him talking to some girls inside. Got his ass kicked pretty bad. His mother found out and between going down to the bar and talking to the staff and some regulars she tracked his assailants down like she was fucking Batman and pressed charges. Never seen anything like it before, she was a crazy woman so I guess I wasn't really surprised when I heard
Shawn is a great guy. Met/hung out with him several times in my youth as my uncle was his agent. Always remembered who I was and made time to talk. He held the Sonics team bus after a game once to talk to me and my dad after an away game. He will forever be one of my favorite athletes. That being said he's made some very poor decisions at times clearly.
Honestly, good for that mom if your friend wasn't doing anything nefarious other than talking to some girls. That's very evil behavior and how people die when they're drunk and can't fight back or brace their falls.

Agree it's dumb, but I think you're underestimating the value of what can be on a phone especially a famous person. And dramatically worse if they got it while it was unlocked When Ethan got robbed (most recent time) they tried to just FaceTime him but it wasn't working so they ran off. Nothing ever came of it that I'm aware of but good lord would that have been a disaster
Refresh my memory, After Kemp got traded to CLE homeboy went from like 225-230 lbs to north of 280. I seem to remember CLE wanted him to bulk up and play Center or did he just get fat on his own?
I tracked down mine when I lived in Mississippi. Dude was working at a furniture store and met me out front and gave it to me. Granted he didn’t steal it off me as it fell out of my pocket at the gym in the parking lot and he just took my broken phone but fuck that I wanted it back.

idk if they wanted him to bulk up, but he definitely put on more pounds than the cavs wanted (and not good pounds either). remember reading an article in the plain dealer (i think) after the cavs traded him that joked about all the downtown restaurants going out of business as a result

It would have been a financial disaster (for the players) - most players are making so much now that it's probably less of an ending up broke issue than it used to be but the sheer amount of flights I see some of the guys booking and putting girls on the program is insane. Instagram is easily the #1 culprit currently. That's a solid bit though - may have missed your calling.
I knew the material was money, where I fucked myself was in my total lack of prep. Totally went back and forth on whether I was gonna even audition. Had a rough idea of the bit and just worked on it on the drive there. Had I spent more than 20 minutes practicing some semblance of a delivery I'd have a stew going. Talked about the Twitter beef between Reggie Miller and Spike Lee, Barkley tossing guys through windows on IG, Shawn Kemp and Tinder, was just finishing up the part about A.C. Green being the only person left on MySpace when time ran out :(
