I had an album or two of theirs way back, remember liking but not enough to keep following them.
burnttatertot this is a special livestream set RC did featuring only songs from their first few albums. it's just about perfect.
saved for later
Never understood the popularity of Sleep.
i can't speak to their popularity
i just know that they have massive riffs
they also released two albums in the past 20 years
can that really be popular?
Duuuude, you don't pay much attention to the stoner scene do you? They're a pretty big deal. "Dopesmoker" has more reviews on MA than the most popular Kyuss album.
that's disappointing because Kyuss is a much better band
people talk about underrated bands forever and ever on the internet but Kyuss might actually be that band
no one really played like josh homme before he was in kyuss. i'd be happy to be wrong
Sorry, not a Kyuss fan either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pesci seems to like Swedish rock bands with Night in their title.
I like Sleep and Kyuss ama
I think that's the same band. Will listen later
Same band as what, Night Flight Orch?
The Swedish band Night, that released the album Raft of the World
It's somewhere a hundred pages ago probably
I'm more about the bands Sleep and Kyuss influenced.
Oh, yeah, same band.
I somehow managed to make it through new Napalm Death. Can't believe this is the same band that released Harmony Corruption. Don't get me wrong, it's not Six Feet Under bad, but few things are.
could never get into that band. grindcore usually isn’t for me.
my buddies band Fit For a King released their new album today
Joe_Pesci has Underoos of that band
New Deftones album out next week Corch
Both songs sound great so far
I know nothing about this band but that name smells like metalcore
its fun how easy it is to tell the genre based on named
or the logo
well fellas after just a couple of years later I've finally decided to jump on that Crack the Skye recommendation
A decade + late but who's counting.
no I clearly said just a couple of years
My mistake, sir.
to be perfectly clear, my couple of years reference is from asking this thread which Mastodon albums I should check out after learning of my Opeth affinity
Yeah, the math on your post checks out, I'm only half ass paying attention to the forum because I'm over here struggling to sew back patches on.
I know my calculus
It only has the best riffs from the past 20 years
I’m a big Deftones fan. I haven’t loved what I’ve heard so far from the new album, but I think they generally bring something new to the table with each release. It’s commendable.
I will be giving Ohms a fair shake.
Why are Swedish people cooler than us
by a wide margin, too.
right boomfer i found out from 941 u talk to him .
and jigga .
The Ocean name sounds familiar, isn't that a band some of you have raved about? If so it appears they have a new album that has leaked.
I really like them. Pelagial is my favorite record of theirs. Very much a prog band so proceed accordingly.
Apparently I preordered the vinyl because I got a download link and shipping notice today. Have zero memory of doing that.
Sorry, can't stop 1987 to play low bit rate streams right now. New UADA is on my list though.
1987 might be the greatest year of metal.
it's been on my music site for 10 hours
That 128 bit stream leaked yesterday on tracker, 320 came out today.
