they took the late 60s psychedelic thing pretty seriously. they were even using what looked like vintage orange amps and whatnot. i couldn't tell if their gear was expensive or old and salvaged.

 

I like this band too. And The Devils Blood.

 

I like them, too. The Thousandfold Epicenter by The Devil's Blood is a good album. It's too bad that no bands really emerged from that occult rock scene, because I love that sound

 

The Time Of No Time Evermore was my fav from them.

 

getting a bit out there but Kylesa as well. they have two drummers for some reason so their sound is kind of weird, and not in a good way.

I really like Kylesa. Spiral Shadow in particular is a great album.

 

I actually talked to their singer after a show. They use some vintage gear, a lot of pedals.

 

i like some of his stuff. the new black is a solid album. super weird, but really well respected.

 

Don't understand anything he puts out or why people fap themselves feverishly over it. Overrated, but not quite Mike Patton overrated.

i can't really get into any devin townsend stuff. a lot of people seem to like him, though. maybe he's like a musician's musician, because i don't play anything.

 

they do have a cool, sludgy sound. i actually like the albums of theirs that i have a lot, so i'm not sure why i said that. really i should have just said that the 2 drummer thing has limitations.

 

They have an appealing accessibility to their sound, while still keeping it sludgy. Catchy riffs.

they got a lot of positive press from metal review sites so burnttatertot can't like them

 

"we're gonna drone on for 17 minutes with little to no tempo change and if you don't like it it's because you don't understand it". Reminds me a lot of those black metal retards of the 90's that liked albums based on how shitty the production was.

I believe they referred to it as a "bundle". There wasn't a way for me to buy the HD without it being part of it.

I didn't download it, they sent me an email with the link to download and a code to activate. I deleted the email.

Deafhaven doesn't "drone on and on". They have some of the catchiest black metal I've ever heard.
