yeah, it's in that youtube if you listen to it, at the end. my beef is him giving no credit until exposed, that shit should have been in the liner notes when the album was manufactured.
Finally found a pic of the full back patch I used to have on my "battle jacket" back in the late 80s. I was the only person I ever saw with this one and I was damned proud of it. I wish I still had this: Spoiler FWIW I never heard the term "battle jacket" until I started searching for this thing. We just used to call it our jean jacket or just a jacket.
Why is that band so trendy? I've heard them described as "hipster black metal." What the heck is that?
i liked it, but groundbreaking? i dont think so. that sounds like something straight out of one of the reviews from non-metal sites from people who had never heard black metal before
i can't think of many bands that blend black metal and that emo-y shoegaze sound and do it so that it's a seamless, cohesive work. so yeah, i stand by my statement breh
0% Hipster, 100% Hatred. (2005) Built to forever win, built to destroy Inexorable, built to crush and burn Fueled by superior blood, by (your) pain and fear Unholy mass murderer, genocide machine We'll conquer the enslavers, we'll crush the weak To eradicate the tribe of the jewish king Merciless and hateful, we are satan's sword This is terrorfront, this is infernal war (1996) War! Bloodshed War! Hate! War! The beauty of the pain Destruction of the human race
Been cranking a lot of Drudkh lately. One of my favorite black metal bands. They just put out a new album this year.
every album released within a year.5 after it's release sounded exactly like it. that may not be groundbreaking like sabbath was but it was about the same as djent.
apparently Enforcer released an album a couple of months ago Diamonds was dope and Death by Fire had like 3 awesome songs. will listen.
i like the guitar solos in that song laughed at this comment too. metal fans Brian SpencerWhen will this fool get over himself and realize he cannot fucking sing?
Anathema is really underrated, considering how many good albums they have and how long they've been doing it Similar to Katatonia in that way
I consider The Great Cold Distance by Katatonia to be a great album If you haven't listened to it, I think it's worth checking it out start-to-finish with the bonus tracks. It's pretty bleak at times but , it makes me feel things. Night is the New Day isn't nearly as good, but it has dope songs like
Both had quite the shift in sound in the 90's. Brave Murder Day is probably still my favorite but they definitely have stronger albums overall than that one. I always wanted them to be bleaker for some reason, just straight suicide bleak. Antimatter is another you'll probably like if you're into Katatonia & Anathema's bleaker shit.
The Longest Year is a good track, don't remember being familiar with that one prior. I need to brush up on the last 5-8 years of Katatonia.
I love Katatonia. This is probably my favorite track. Shit is dark. In some of their newer stuff they use that downtuned guitar sound that reminds me of nu-metal, I'm not the biggest fan of that.
