Grind is tough for me to get into. I’ve only gotten into a few bands/albums: Pig Destroyer - Phantom Limb Discordance Axis - Inalienable Dreamless Terrorizer - World Downfall Repulsion - Horrified Mumakil - Behold The Failure Rotten Sound - Abuse To Suffer The Drip - The Haunting Fear Of Inevitability Probably some others but those are what comes to mind.
Absolute banger but I feel like he should of waited until at least the middle of May and it would of run the whole summer.
Nasum is the shit. These guys are classic too. My buddies always tried to mod out those Boss distortion pedals to try and replicate that Scandanavian grind tone. They're a hot commodity and fucking hard to find. I tried to get one for myself but failed in the process. I'll post their band in a bit when I decide to slack off at work more then I normaly do.
What the hell. I didn't even see that. Someone posting Drake in the Heavy Music Thread. Shamefull troll. You should be embaressed of yourself.
I know bro, that Lauryn Hill sample goes. This the definition of a summer song I wish he would of waited to put it out
I can get down on some old Fugees and Lauryn Hill anytime, I still do. Drake is lame as shit though plus why spam this thread with it?
Spam? Regardless of if you think Drake is a lame sports fan he makes great music. Gods Plan was a good song and a GOAT video. This is a great song. So stop hating
Ewwww. No offense intended. To each their own but yeah... No thanks. He just seems like a cheese ball.
More grind but these are close friends so I have to give them a shout out. I went to school with most of them, grew up with all of them.Three of them played in bands with me in the past..
I'm not really into this look at all. Plus the mask looks comically large on the dancer dude because it's fitted for Tobias Forge
I know this isn’t heavy music but I love Katatonia and I can I play this at work without annoying everyone. Some Polish dude that can rock the piano. Nice music to relax to.
Yeah I think their entire catalogue is great from the early doom stuff to their newer stuff. They’ve definitely changed styles over the years but I like it all. You can get bored playing the same stuff over years.
I regret it to this day. I had a ride to Dallas to see Opeth and Katatonia but I had to take care of my dogs. Well actually I think I was really just being lazy because my parents said they would watch the dogs. This is still one of my favorite songs though.
I love this song, One of my favorites but it does sound a little like Opeth. I know they are longtime friends so it’s only natural that their styles would be similar.
albums I’m currently giving a lot of playtime: Mgla - With Hearts Towards None (black metal) Harakiri For The Sky - Arson (post-black metal) Slugdge - Esoteric Malacology (technical death metal) Rivers Of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name (technical/progressive death metal) Ordos - House Of The Dead (stoner doom) Turnstile - Time & Space (hardcore) All of these are fucking awesome.
I will check them all out. I know the HFTS stuff. Thanks for the reccomendations I’ll definitely check them out tomorrow. It’s way past my bedtime now though.
I don’t listen to a ton of tech death but I’ve always liked these guys. The bass tone the dude uses is unique and makes it stand out.
I've been waiting decades for Belsebub stuff to get pressed onto disc ('90-'92). Have I not suffered enough?
Some of these guys were from Norman but they're in Denton, TX now. The guitar player tried to bang my girlfriend like 10 years ago, he probably did, bitch. Yeah I'm still bitter even though that was like ten years ago and havent talked to her in years but whatever. All the rest of the guys are super cool and their stuff is pretty legit IMO.
I don't hate eveything that Ghost does but they are kind of like a boyband for metal fans. All my friiends give me shit if I put on one of their songs, there are only a few that I do... Well they give me shit about anything I put on for the most part. I guess they grew out of their metal phase and listen to folk and reggae or whatever. Nerds.I listen to stuff like that too but I seriously get blasted on any time I put some metal on when friends are over WTF. I always get the "oh he's putting more dragon metal on" now matter what genre I put on. I listen to very few bands that talk about dragons, a few though...
Total hipster metal and the video was beyond cheesy but the song was better than I expected. Not bad but I doubt I’ll que it up in the future.
hipster metal is a weird insult. is it the way they dress? is it the blending of styles? is it that pitchfork gave sunbather a good review? i feel like no one would say that sort of stuff if they were norwegians who look like they haven't showered in a while wearing corpse paint
