not gonna lie, at the beginning when that keyboard part with the galloping beat started i was afraid some guy was going to start yelling about beer
The Ocean is releasing some kind of joint album with a Japanese band called Mono the preview they have on their facebook page sounds like it could be pretty good, but hopefully they uploaded a low quality version on purpose. the quality is total shit. https://www.facebook.com/theoceancollective/videos/vb.47708572626/10154334554062627/?type=2&theater
1. I hate splits 2. that definitely has an eastern asian feel to it 3. love The Ocean. fantastic live.
I mean, it's Ghost with a psychedelic rock band opening. I probably wouldn't do it if it was Gojira or something. Hopefully there aren't a bunch of dicks trying to start a pit like the last time I saw them. Watching those dumb fucks try mosh to this song was pure comedy I'm gonna be in there early, so alcohol is a no-go because I don't want to lose my spot to go piss.

no but that's just because i dont buy them because they are usually printed on low quality tee shirts
in terms of the art, metal t-shirts are dope i just want to be able to wash something 5 times before it starts looking old, especially if i'm paying $30 for it
Metallica is the coolest American rock band ever. I just listened to The Garage Inc in its entirety. God damn, that is a great album. They actually did a double album of covers only. Metallica... literally the best-selling band of the Soundscan era. That is fucking awesome.
I thought about making a new thread, but the hostility on this board towards metal in general... idk maybe it would be better to do it on a monday at 11am central standard time There's a good chance that I'm a stupid person, but I consider Metallica to be the best American rock band ever In their first four albums, they defined that raw thrash metal sound (Kill 'Em All), the more intelligent thrash metal sound (Ride..., Master...), and pioneered an entirely differently genre of metal with Justice. I consider ...And Justice For All to be the best progressive metal album ever. Even better than Still Life, which hurts me to say.
This is my biggest issue. They are always printed on some boxy cut Gildan shit that feels like cardboard.
pretend its a testament to how good their covers are. i mean, how do you beat that cover of Whiskey in the Jar? With their cover of Tuesday's Gone. love Kill Em All though
I'm probably in the minority, but Ride The Lightning is my favorite. I know we've done this before, but I'd rank them like this: 1.) Ride The Lightning 2.) Master Of Puppets 3.) ...And Justice 4.) Black 5.) Kill Em All I love the enthusiasm, Pesci.
I kept coming up with bands that were better and then realized they were all English. Does Jimi Hendrix in his different incarnations (Experience, Band of Gypsies, etc) count as a rock band or is that too bluesy? Guns N Roses was one more great album away from being #1.
Do you guys ever feel like your barometer for what is 'heavy' to other people is totally broken? I threw on some tunes at the gym the other day, and explicitly played one of my lighter playlists: some old school punk (Rancid, Bad Religion), Metallica, Pantera, even some more mainstream stuff like Rage Against The Machine. People were like "man this is so angry." I was like, bitch, this is my easy listening mix. What the fuck else do you listen to at the gym?
one time i put on Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone age and my friends were like "damn, is heavy"
Be safe mate, nothing worse than getting too munted on new gear and being out of your element to cope with it.
eh if i was going to have a bunch of Ghost stuff on my walls, it would be album covers or something better than that. there's half of a hand in the Papa picture i do love Ghost's art, though. i wouldn't mind something like this on one of my walls, although probably not in the dining room
in more mega news Dave has his house up for sale http://www.latimes.com/business/rea...-fi-hotprop-dave-mustaine-20151005-story.html
new stuff from The Ocean http://www.metalsucks.net/2015/10/08/exclusive-track-stream-the-ocean-the-quiet-observer/ i couldnt find the direct soundcloud link
watching tandem drummers is pretty cool Kylesa uses two drummers, and they are alright Spoiler btw their album Ultraviolet is dope
that's actually the band that made me curious. have you listened to Exhausting Fire yet? it's good but not quite Ultraviolet.
i haven't i'm behind on my metal releases for this year. i still havent listened to that job for a cowboy album
