Can't decide between a Cherokee/CRV/etc. Looking for under 45k. Not opposed to a lease, but I drive about 20k miles/year, so I'd probably have to pick up another older used car as well. Anyone have strong feelings for/against anything in the compact SUV class?
Test drove one for a day. It just doesn't seem that much different/better than my Cherokee. Not sure I can justify the cost in my head.
From personal experience Hondas and Toyotas will run forever, especially Toyotas so I'd go with one of them if it were me.
I like my Honda Fit and gas mileage is excellent. I get like 36 miles a gallon overall. Not a compact SUV.of course but throwing it out there anyways.
I have a Nissan Murano and love it. Will likely switch to something more fuel efficient though when lease is up in 6 months. Why do you need a CUV? Why not just go with something like a Camry Hybrid. It's more spacious than a CUV and gets 50+ mpg.
How many people travel in your vehicle? I've been tempted to look at the Subaru's but am afraid of the stigma of driving a Subaru.
Yea cant go wrong with those. I guess it depends on how long you keep a car. If you're the person that will keep a car for 10+ years, a car lasting forever is of huge importance. If you're the person that gets a new car every 3-5 years, not so much.
Outback and Tacoma master race. Will probably never buy a non Toyota or Subaru vehicle again. Absolutely zero issues. And still worth quite a bit if we had to get rid of one for any reason.
I am really surprised Subaru has been mentioned so many times without us being called lesbians yet. Let’s get ahead of it. Scissor me!
Seriously SP1 do yourself a favor and test drive an Outback and Forester before making a decision. Outback has more cargo and leg room, Forester has taller profile and looks more like a SUV.
Toyota Highlander The newer hybrid ones avg 28 hwy/30 city and are all wheel drive. The Toyota CVT transmission and the hybrid system are very reliable. You can get a hooked up slightly used (low mileage but pre-owned) ‘19 model for around $35k.
SP1 has the life that everybody ask for His is a fast life, he is on a crash course What you think he rap for, to push a fucking Rav-4?
Test drove a cx-5 last week. Really nice to drive but a little on the small side if I'm going to get something SUV-y.
I know Toyota and Honda make good cars but honestly these days what companies are making unreliable shitboxes? Seems like it's not that common to get a lemon in the last ~10 years. For instance, people shit on Daimler but I know a ton of people who have owned all different makes/models and have heard nary a complaint. Same with GM. Same with Ford. Same with pretty much everyone.
Check out the YouTube series Alex on autos. He does extremely in depth reviews and comparisons. Watched a ton of his videos while helping my gf shop for a car. That's the main complaint I see about it. Cx5 too small, cx9 too big (unless you want a 3 row suv then the cx9 is also too small)
And just saw one of these in the nieghborhood last week. First one I've seen and I think it looks reeeeally nice. Spoiler
It's listed as one of the funnest crossovers on the market to drive and it definitely is. Drives like a car, similar to something like BMW's X1. But you definitely sacrifice size to get there.
It takes a brave man to embrace his inner lesbian. We are here to support you as you take your first steps into your brave new world.
Saw a white one in atlanta last weekend that thing was an absolute beauty Shawn Hunter rocking a Honda Fit is the most on brand thing ever
At 20k miles per year and $45k budget, I'd get a 4 runner if you want an suv. Lexus if you want a car.
