Thanks man. My sister was diagnosed stage 4 cervical cancer in 2014 and spent the next 4 years fighting like a mother fucking soldier.. 33 years old. Cancer is a situation where you come to terms with someone’s death long before it happens sometimes and you get to say goodbye and spend time letting that person know how much you love them.. I can’t imagine the pain of losing someone that close so suddenly. It’s just awful
Was the caretaker for my Dad when Cancer got him. He obviously had more life than 30 years but was still too early. Can't imagine with someone so young.
I lost my pops 6 months after my sister.. to cancer. There’s not a person, place, thing or idea I hate worse than cancer. No one deserves to have their spirit ripped away through pain and suffering and that’s just what happens. Rest in power to your father, bro. Fuck cancer
Been digging into some Big Krit discography the past few days. Love it. Wish he got more recognition...especially as a producer
I think he gets a ton of respect from nerds but he hasn’t found much mainstream success due to his albums not being all that great (sans the brilliant 4Eva is a mighty long time). He’s built his reputation almost completely on his mixtape catalogue.
had to listen to WAP one time. Died when Cardi said: I wanna gag, I wanna choke I want you to touch that lil' dangly thing that swing in the back of my throat Enjoying this Amine album
That JID and Amine song is something. I'm not sure if I've ever heard JID miss on a feature at all. Period.
very much liked it on the first two listens. didn't love the other stuff, solid, catchy but not a lot of replay value to me. we'll see if this sticks but sounds like an improvement as an overall project
Shawn Cee gives a solid review that p much sums my views up. I like the album a good bit but there’s some Chris Brown vibes I get late in it I can do without.
I’d really like for him to not miss on a new album. I get such a large amount of joy from his vibes and ability. He’s the perfect mix of southern breeze and elite skill
I meant to post this day of but it slipped my mind. Big Ghost is a music producer and former hip hop comedy blogger who earlier this year dropped a dope collab album with conway No One Mourns The Wicked. He gave write up about OB4CL the day of its 25th anniversary on an IG post. Pretty good take and I especially like how he brings up sort of the revisionist history wrt It Was Written and Reasonable Doubt.
So apparently Drake might be dropping an album tonight? Also looking forward to Dave East New album tonight
JIDs verse on the lockdown remix is really good. Noname as well. Damn shame Jay Rock had to come in and ruin it.
The lesser known SV album (which featured the incorporation of Elzhi) turned 18 today. This is the hardest fucking opener ever, one of my favorite beats ever via Waajeed And then there was this funky shit where El raps off the tracklist from Vol 2
