I’d keep that going all the way to Brunch on Sundays. BOS is a beautiful example of a hip hop artist that is so good at what he does that he continues to make excellent songs that fit in with his current life experience and way of life. the Nas and Hit Boy albums have been a clinic in rapping what you know, regardless of where you are and making that shit super fucking dope

not sure if these get archived but lupe has been streaming his personal listening party to the album and it was pretty fascinating to watch https://www.instagram.com/lupefiasco/live/ he just switched over to it ain't hard to tell and is rapping the entire thing and fanboying out for a track that's 25 years old. it's awesome. also had a nice story about meeting muhammad ali (and his dad sparring with him) and how he first heard illmatic
Dudes rap their asses off no doubt but an entire rap album about horror movies with production that sounds like Trent Reznor replacing the transmission on an 85 Dodge Ram getting a 9 is a bit much. He prioritizes different a bit much imo
Def don't agree with 5/10 with THIB, I like it. But I didn't like Tyler's new at all when errbody seemed too. Zelooperz has a new album out I really like that I'd bet most wouldn't.
Where Tyler’s album was concerned, I just found it much more palatable and easier on the first listen than anything he’s ever done. For me, it’s a 6-7/10. THIB is a MUCH better album. Fantano gave KD1 a 7, if he gives KD2 a 7 or less then folk just need to ignore him wrt rap/hip hop going forward. He just doesn’t get it
