2 Chainz and DJ Premier
this new earthgang track is so so good
Oh fuck yes
I fuckin love Zack Fox
This won’t be a surprise, but got damn it can I bump the new Migos song.
This Boldy and Al tape is fuckin good
Al continues to be the most important white man in hip hop
Did you spin the Bo Jackson EP? Boldy and The Alchemist have such an incredible chemistry. Al understands how to draw out that haunting delivery from Boldy and Boldy knows just what to say over Al’s soulfully charged beats
beautiful EP even my wife was like who dis ? When we were in the car on our way to lunch
As someone who played tf out of this game, mostly as Bo, I adore this cover
Weird his entourage wasn’t there to stop him getting jumped and shanked ?
edit: from the video it looked like a melee :( just when his shit was all coming together
What's yalls top 10 albums of the year? Here's my list off the top of my head in no order
LP! - Jpegmafia
King's Disease II - Nas
The House is Burning - Isaiah Rashad
The Plugs I Met 2 - Benny the Butcher and Harry Fraud
Bo Jackson - Boldy James and the Alchemist
Vince Staples - Vince Staples
Weight of the World - Maxo Kream
Call Me If You Get Lost - Tyler the Creator
To Kill a Sunrise - Kota the Friend and Statik Selektah
Elephant in the Room - MIck Jenkins
Chomp 2- Russ
11 but whatever
I only listened to ~5 rap albums this year and two of them are on here
The house is burning
Skyzoo- All the brilliant things
Shut the fuck up talking to me
The Course of the Inevitable/ Lloyd Banks
Weight Of The World
Pray for Haiti
I honestly believe the B Side of HWH8 was better than any album released last year
Definitely loved Vince Staples's, Nas's, and Benny the Butcher's album. Really disappointing year for mainstream albums. Maybe my favorite was The Culture III.
Also enjoyed Lute's album. Gonna give To Kill a Sunrise another listen today.
lots of speculation that YG and his crew killed Drakeo
I think the best thing that happened in hip hop this year was Stacks verse on life of the party.
it’s just fucking incredible
wasn't he teasing Tana Talk 4 earlier? thought I saw that
That’s The Butcher, my guy. Conway recently said he’s got 4 albums left. One is LuLu 2, one is his shady debut, another with Big Ghost and another special project. I’m assuming this one is gonna bet one of the first two
oh shit, completely misread that
From IG, new Nas LP tonight at midnight
ASAP Rocky and preem on a track? Yes please
Cole is the best
Lotta people having Benny and Harry’s album on their aoty lists but I thought Pyrex Picasso was a much better album
Bo Jackson over both of them.
2 of the best albums of the year
Just saw that Curren$y dropped Pilot Talk 4. TTgator91
This could be cool
his rant on industry cats killing the hip hop spirit and clowns running and snitching at the end of the track is great and made legendary by the fact that as soon as it fades out one of the dopest hip hop samples oat comes through your headphones
underground will live forever baby. we just like roaches. never dying. always living.
Is Premier the GOAT?
He’s mine. If he’d have done more music with southern or WC artists he’d be everyone’s
Premier definitely the goat.
Premier catalog is pretty impressive I think my first song I loved of his Crooklyn Dodgers song when I was freshman in high school
Scarface on betrayal is unbelievable
Devin The Dude and Doobie Ashtray
he flowed with southern rappers. It’s crazy how a dude from Houston was so influential wrt the New York sound
Just now discovered this
Doobie Ashtray is so good
Dilla is my #1 but Premo is in the top group for sure. Gang Starr was really my first exposure to true hip-hop. Probably lucky in that regard
