definitely distasteful but its not the first time something like that has happened especially in the age of internet clicks these soundcloud rappers need all the attention they can get.

yeah gave that a first listen last night, got halfway through the opening track before I just started laughing at the absurdity of this guy

 

I find myself going to Denzel’s different albums for different moods.

for me, Imperial is still one of the best examples of a young hungry rapper trying to break through.

blows my mind how good his discography is and he isn’t even 30 yet.

 

He’s got one coming up as well and the first couple singles have a real southern bounce. Hes a lot like Kendrick in the way that experiments with different sounds from album to album. Not quite on the lyrical level that Kenny is but he’s got similar artistry for sure

Definitely check out the album if you like, short one. 8 tracks at 30+ minutes. No skips for me. Fav track is Til Eternity but it's a beautiful album.

 

I’m always so mesmerized by Lupe’s raps. Never fails

till eternity is fantastic.

 

My favorite rapper and the GOAT lyricist imo, don't think anyone is rapping like him.

 

Glad I’m not alone, thought it was cool to hate Lupe these days. Lasers was a dud but he has returned to form the past few albums

 

Man has 4 classics, and his last 2 Drill Music in Zion and Samurai are very close. DMIZ was an AOTY contender imo and this will be up there.

Even his "bad" albums are decent all things considered. Man has been on fire since Tetsuo & Youth.

 

Drill Music In Zion is amazing and was easily one of my top albums of 22

 

Top 5 of 22. An absolutely stacked year

At nearly 40 years of age I have come full circle. I have a big expensive stereo system with a bunch of bass on my boat like I did in my NIssan Pathfinder when I was 16. It is hilarious and awesome to be a fat old dude listening to rap really loud in my boat but it sounds so fucking good. I need more content to listen to though. Anything good recently that hits hard?

 

I was 100 miles offshore in the gulf last weekend bumping Belize by Dangerous Mouse. I'm about 99% sure no one else on the boat knew what the hell we were listening to.
