Finally giving the album a listen. The line against Budden holy fuck. And the album was released on Buddens birthday Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it Or have his body bag get zipped The closest thing he's had to hits is smackin' bitches
That MGK response is hotter than anything Eminem's put out in years. And I don't even like Faulkner MGK
Port of me think Em just threw out a ton of bait and was praying someone would bite. MGK was the firs tto bite and now Em gets to have some fun.
The more I think about it, the more I think we're being worked. MGK has never written anything remotely that good, let alone written it in a couple of days.
haha I'm watching the video in the link above and Mr. Porter said the same thing. He said he'd never heard MGK lay down a track where he was like whoa. I can't say I disagree.
That's interesting..glad to hear someone else had the same thought (I swear I didn't watch that video). It may just be material MGK has been sitting on a while, knowing that eventually Em would snipe at him. But it seemed way too good to be done that quickly (by anyone, really)
He wanted Em to respond way back when he made that tweet imo. Has had that track ready for years and wanted the juice that a battle with Em would provide. Marshall knew that back then and asked for an apology rather than give that kid some clout
Yo, microphone check one two what is this The five foot assassin with the ruffneck business I float like gravity, never had a cavity Got more rhymes than the Winans got family
Old heads itt You guys ever caught a Devin the Dude show? I’m a big fan and he’s playing down here in November and I’m tryna decide if it’s worth catching on a Thursday night
So this happened and it is fucking fire. One of my favorite hip hop songs of the year for sure. Surprised it hasn't made it to this thread yet.
In a fan experience video, Logic describes how his friends encouraged the Maryland rapper to call RZA and ask for Wu-Tang Clan to reunite for YSIV. “I was like, ‘Yo listen, I got some crazy ass shit I want to ask you, it’s going to sound fucking wild. I don’t know what you’re going to say,'” Logic explained. “‘I’ve always wanted to do a song called “Wu Tang Forever,” it was dream of mine, and to feature every single Wu-Tang Clan member. What do I have to do to make that happen?'” According to Logic, his answer was simple: “All you gotta do is ask, baby.”
Just catching up to the Em vs MGK diss shit. Really puts it in perspective how wide that talent gap is. The Logic album has been on repeat.
I might pick up this book. https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2018/10/entertainment/hip-hop-portraits-cnnphotos/index.html https://www.contacthighproject.com/
