I still think they grossly underachieve. Yes their players are not the most talented in the world, but most of these guys have been in academies since they were young kids. England has the best academy system in the world collectively, I just think the country is too small to where there isnt enough of a talent base.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvdf5n-zI14 england's academy system teaches the wrong things. it focuses on shape and discipline at a young age, when the most successful international teams' academies (brazil, spain, netherlands, germany, old france, even italy) focus on technique and ideas while the kids are young and install shape and discipline only when these creative impulses are groomed
p disappointed england is going to be such shit this tournament tbqh. to see a full england with wilshire and rooney vs. france would've been p awesome
Thanks, was not aware of this as I dont really follow the youth stuff, I just know they put a lot of money into the academies. I recently saw on the Premier League Weekly show that the FA is putting in a new system for academies to follow. Is this thing supposed to be legit or another wasteful system?
theyre prolly going to design it on germany's current system which was designed on france's old system they'll have to get over their own englishness for it to be successful though
First move was a great 1 “@SamWallaceIndy: Stuart Pearce no longer part of England senior team coaching staff under Roy Hodgson.”
