Trading Trae Young for Luka looks like a genius move compared to not giving Fabolous Freddie a sixth year
If the Braves had offered Freeman the $33M per year he wanted, then we’d have $12M per year more tied up in 1B. During the first 3 years since he left, Fraudie has about 3 more WAR total than Olson, or about 1 WAR per season. Generally speaking, 1 WAR has a monetary value of $8M-$10M. Based on that, Olson has been a better contract than Freeman at $33M would have been. And we could in theory use that extra $12M elsewhere for the team. Not paying Freeman that amount was not a dumb move. The dumb move is still employing Snitler.
It's really hard to watch other games and see just Plain Jane replacement level managers do things light years better than us. And then watch us manage games like it's 1993 (and at a poor 1993 level at that).
I mean how long is that gonna last? He's been gone 3 years. And we didn't ship him off like we did Murph, he chose to leave.
if you still like him fine. you’re also a bad person but fine. but the battered wife syndrome or as tegg put it more eloquently and correctly, cuck syndrome, of this fanbase is embarsssing.
I booed the shit out of him last weekend, and you’d think I was using slurs based on the reaction of some of the fans around me.
You can't put a.price tag on Fabolous Freddie's intangibles. Some say his leadership is even priceless.
He has to be there for the optimal LR alternating hitters, which is the most important only thing that matters in lineup construction
