That one to Altuve was fucking filthy. No way you can pick up the spin on that and no way to hit it unless you're just sitting slider and even then it still looks like fastball for like 50 feet
Luke is still good, the Dodgers were just super human at hitting RHP. We are gonna need Duke to be the man if we are gonna take this thing.
Yeah I don't understand how anybody who posts in this thread could fall asleep during a WS game. I was wired for an hour after the game was over.
13 hour shift plus having to be awake again at 545 this morning to do it again. I tried to stay awake.
I tend to sleep like shit, especially with stuff like this going on, so I've been taking half a Delta 8 gummie around 9 to ease my mind. Upside is I sleep great and don't cuss out the tv as much. Downside is I fell asleep at 1045. Its kind of important for me to be on my A game at work, so I don't need to be up past 11 during the week nights. My ass will be awake for a clenching game.
like one two i too need “a nap” but it’s red ribbon week and i was peer pressured into signing a pledge to stay alcohol/drug free.
I had to eat 4 melatonin gummies just to come down enough to sleep after that game. Rolling on excessive caffeine until this is over.
Actually that’s not bad for watching night games. Just stream on the phone, most patients have it on their TVs really loved west coast road trips when i worked nights a few years ago.
Anyone want to split a suite at the Omni Friday night? https://ssl.omnihotels.com/Omni?pag...nSIEaArEMEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&rates=rpc_NONE
guys none of your jobs are as important as mine: ceo of loubias industries and holding 290 of the 300 board seats for cb dynastics if i can stay up late everyone can
I don’t have any stats to back this up but I feel like Riley’s defense drastically improved once we went to the shift
Am I making this up or did I see something somewhere recently talking about us making some change in the way we shift back in May and it being very beneficial to us?
I’ve been night shift for the past 3 weeks and it’s made watching pretty nice. 4 hour games are obnoxious regardless tho.
Yep, we started shifting an ass ton in May. Like went from lowest to highest in the league and our peripheral stats immediately improved.
I was up until 1:40 central last night because I couldn't get to sleep. I woke up at 6 and am dragging ass today.
From 2017 through April 30, 2021, only two teams shifted less often than Atlanta did. In 2019-’20, no team shifted less often. Even in April of this season, no team shifted less often. The Braves, as a rule, hardly ever shifted. Until, of course, they did. From May 1 through the end of the year, only two teams (the Dodgers and Mets) shifted more than the Braves. In the month of June, no team shifted more than the Braves. They’re still doing it in the playoffs, too, more than twice as much as they did last year -- which is ironic, given that after their Game 7 NLCS loss to the Dodgers a year ago, the Ringer ran an article headlined “The Shift May Have Cost the Braves a Pennant.” https://www.mlb.com/news/the-secret-to-atlantas-defensive-turnaround
yeah like we legit never shifted and then randomly started shifting all the time one tuesday night against the pirates and never looked back the perfect snit anecdote
Calling up Tucker Davidson seems like an odd move unless we are committing to an additional bullpen game to replace Morton, which I’m not really a fan of. I know Toussaint wouldn’t be a guaranteed good start but he’d at least have the chance to get rolling and go multiple innings?
Also, thank God one person in our organization understands ways to utilize analytics. We know it isn't come from Snit
Tucker was trying to build back up at the end of the year. I assume he’s been throwing simulated games since the playoffs began. He threw 40 pitches in 3 innings on October 3rd. I’d assume this would allow him to cover 3-4 innings in a start now if he had to do so.
Tucker’s stuff definitely plays. I trust him more than Wright. They have time to figure out the G4 starter though.
Muller looked fine when he went back down to AAA according to box scores, but I can only assume the Braves don’t believe his fastball is back to where it needs to be to find consistent success in Atlanta. That’s really the only explanation you wouldn’t have used him over Wright and Tuck.
