I’d say he’s better than mid-tier, but I’ll be interested to see if we shop Grissom at the deadline. Would be a pretty telling sign on whether we go all-in for Dansby. If we bring in Happ and option/trade/release Heredia, that’s: Ron Money Eddie Duvy Happ Damn solid outfield group
Stopped paying attention after realizing you were picking against a guy who did not pick Acuña first.
If I'm giving the current 40 man a draft board ranking for the baby boy draft Maximus Ronnie Riley Dansby Money CyWri Strider Ozzie Night Shift (AJ, Nutzy, Duke as a trio) Wild Bill Olson Duvy Eddie TDA Chuck Jesse Dylan Lee Ian Ynoa Everyone else is unranked Ozuna is down here
There’s only one baby boy and it’s Max. Everyone else falls into the categories “sweet boys” or “sour boys”
I was just thinking that Fried, Morton, Wright and Strider is absolutely disgusting. It’s hard to win a series against those four.
He was so triggered by wanting to go ahead and throw a pitch but Ozuna walking around the box jerking his elbows around like he's having a seizure that he threw two meatballs to him and Eddie
Liberatore is their best pitching prospect. He has a similar pitch arsenal to Fried but not near the command and speed. Hopefully we get to him early.
Since June 8, Ronnie is only hitting .230/.330/.322 but his strikeout rate is down to 16% in that time. BABIP is only .261 where he’s around .335 for his career. Seems like he’s not making very good contact, wonder if that’s approach or just legs readjusting to playing full-time and lacking his usual power. If we get him going again the Mets are fucked
a top 5 player in baseball has essentially been playing like phil gosselin for a month and we still have cut 8 games off the lead. the mets already are fucked they're just too dumb to know it
This video says we should trade for Benintendi. Wouldn't hate it, but he's OF only. Liked your Happ trade better, jrmy if he can indeed play 2B. Though, Happ's splits say he's far better batting as a RHB.
He's played literally every position on the field but C and SS. He's only logged like 400 innings at 2B and hasn't been great defensively, but I think it's a big upgrade over what Arcia/Goose is giving right now just with the bat. LF is the only position where I would call him a good fielder but let him get us through the time sans Ozzie while we have better backup options in LF then move him there full time once Oz is back. And yeah he feasts on lefties, but he's still well above average with the bat against righties, unlike some other switch-hitting second basemen we know.
In his last 42 regular season starts, Baby Boy is 23-8 with a 2.47 ERA and 244 Ks in 262 innings. This includes 16-2 with a 2.08 ERA in his past 28 starts and 9-0 with a 2.51 ERA in his past 15 starts, of which 13 we’ve won. Not bad
those 42 starts are from the day he returned from the DL last year until now. outside of him being injured early last year, he's been elite for nearly 3 years now
I think Arcia called it on the replay, but that still doesn’t change the fact that is his and he should make that play with his eyes closed. I’m sure protecting his knee in traffic played a role, too.
Yea that's some bull shit to jog after a ball that winds up dropping. That's when all his flair bites him
If he sprints in and calls all the way like you’d normally do then it’s never even an issue. He didn’t take charge. He hasn’t had his head in the game since he returned from the foot.
Longer than that... He's been ass since Oz got hurt. I know they're bffs, but his body language has sucked since that night.
