Two innings of game three doesn’t wash two games with a pitcher we know is absolute ass and won’t be starting for us again. That’s not how this stuff works.

As good as deGrom is the matchup against Fried tomorrow was more likely than this bum against Scherzer.
That ain't what what I was saying. What I was saying is it's a major uphill climb tonight to win this game. In fact very unlikely. Now we've put our hopes of winning the series on beating deGrom tomorrow. So yeah momentum stopped. Win two in convincing fashion and in two innings Mets have momentum back and likely will split.
This game was always unlikely with the matchup. The most likely outcome happening doesn’t really change anything.

I dont even count it as a miss. We took a hail mary on a guy by trading a worthless asset. Low risk move that didnt pan out.

If Soroka can make it back by September and be even something like 70% of what he was, at least for now, that feels like the last piece for this team. Wouldn’t have any real obvious weakness.
