Seems like Bryce has genuinely turned a corner. 17.2 IP this month, 1 ER. Granted, it's two starts against the Nats and one against Miami, but he's been excellent.
Tbf we haven’t really seen Elder vs one either, but I’d rather roll the dice with him than proven shitty Jake
Saving the bullpen was massive. I love that he could legit walk across street and begin a late shift job of Union General Civil War Reenactor.
It’s actually pretty simple, he’s got a 6.75 ERA against playoff teams and a 2.18 ERA against Washington, Miami, and Texas
Elder's last four MLB starts: 8/14 @ Mia: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 10 K 9/3 vs. Mia: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 6 K 9/21 vs. Wash: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 6 K 9/26 @ Wash: 9 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 6 K
Thanks to Manfred Meme Ball I can’t keep track of shit anymore. What’s the first round roster size, 26?
And that’s fine. He’s been giving the CyWri treatment and it’s really easy to see and note that consistent innings in Gwinnett has helped his confidence and outlook on games day in and out. He doesn’t have the same stuff but it’s not like the past few starts regardless of who he’s pitched against haven’t been high leverage and extremely pivotal in the biggest race in baseball the last month of the season. In the same spots, Odo has kind of wilted. Odo is last season’s version of DickRod imo. Helped us through a patch but not reliable enough to make the postseason roster.
Speaking of disgusting...the weather for this weekend just gets worse and worse. Seems the storm has slowed a bit. Looking at heavy rains Friday afternoon through mid afternoon Sunday.
