His cutter was very sharp two nights in a row. I’m holding out hope that playoff adrenaline helps him pitch better.
Two takeaways from that series: 1. Variance corrected itself bigtime; the Braves have been top 5 all year in both EV and allowed EV and I believe the Mets have been outside of the top 10. 2. The Braves' biggest advantage (bullpen) was the key difference for both teams; got three key runs off their pen, they didn't get anything significant from ours.
If it wasn't for the Mets easy September schedule there is no telling how many games they would be behind now.
Really good sign for the postseason seeing the bullpen focus in for three straight high leverage days.
