he immediately molested this old man tho so who’s to say if this was good
I won’t let you ruin that look of unbridled joy on Jessie’s face. I wish I could muster up that kind of emotion for the Braves, but I’m far too jaded now. I’d like to think he’s still laughing and smiling about that game being his first in person at his age.
Crazy to think this was 29 years ago. This play and call are etched into my memory. Lived with a UGA grad for a year about 10 years ago. We both liked the Braves so our wifi password was an ode to Skip and was “braveswin!”. I still use that as my wifi password to this day.
I’m about to hack the shit out of you now
stuhly might try but he’d probably misspell the password
I was 11() but that will always be one of my favorite Braves memories. Remember being tired a shit going to school the next day.
i was still 15 years away from being born
29 years later and we still have to listen to a Caray talk about hitting the ball to the open space in the opposite field every fucking day
I wish it was still Skip even from beyond the grave.
I may have told this story here before but I was in 10th grade. We had driven down from Upstate SC and my Dad said we needed to leave between the 7th and 8th innings because it was a school night with a three hour drive home and we were losing. We reluctantly left.
So while I was at the game, I heard Skip’s call around the Lenox exit. We had to pull over and get out and run around.
My Dad, brother, cousin and me all made a vow that night to never leave a game early again unless all parties agreed to it and it was truly out of reach.
Oh man, still a great memory though.
I was there too, second to last row of the upper deck in left center field. So damn high you had to kind of bend down to see some things due to the overhang. But got to see his hit come right at me and Bonds's throw to the plate. Just an insane sports moment. Felt like Fulton County Stadium was going to come down from up there.
The last time the Braves won a 4th consecutive division title they won the World Series that same season
Hey. We R Famous lol
Good. Fuck ‘em
I hope they don’t come after Snitker
I was also at the game and left early. Was 7 and my 15 year old sister had swim practice at 5am and made my dad leave early. We heard the final result while on Marta on a radio with service going in and out. Still etched in my mind.
It’s not that I think the Giants aren’t also a great team, but I’m so fucking tired of losing to the Dodgers.
Webb is so filthy. Dude is just painting corners.
That turbo sinker Webb has that moved 20 inches left to right and drops a foot
Yeah I’d much rather take my chances against SF.
Home field would be nice tho
mother fuck come on Giants
Let’s go, time for revenge
Hopefully their pitching is gassssed
we’re at home, rested, and don’t need to fly cross country tomorrow
let’s jump them
The ump should feel bad.
NLCS Game 1 will be at 8:07 pm ET.
Dodgers @ Braves
TBS is televising.
fuck this tbs nonsense and fuck the dodgers
See you guys soon. Looking forward to another good series with a similar result.
Arrives on Monday
Hopefully in time for game 3 on LA to piss some friends off
Game 1: Fried
Game 2: Anderson
Game 3: Morton in LA
Seems to make some sense
Not feeling great about this. Nothing to lose at least.
Is it 2-2-1-1-1 or 2-3-2
Who wants to go to the game on Sunday?
Looks like I’m going to game 5 in LA *if necessary
I don't think we'll get swept. But that's probably the clinching game for the dodgers
I thought you were an Angels fan now.
Was at this game as a youngin. I was actually disappointed at the time because we would have been able to go in the Pirates’ club house for the celebration had they won (my dad was friends with one of their players). Shameful to think I didn’t fully enjoy the moment at the time, but alas, I was new to atlanta and in like 3rd grade.
gin rooting against the braves in one of the biggest wins in franchise history is too perfect
why are you the way you are
His thread ban hasn’t been particularly effective to date
Hey guys, remembering the play that was the beginning of the end for the Pirates franchise? I was there for that rooting hard for them. Anyway, I’m going to Game 1 tomorrow. Go Braves!
Gin Buckets please stay far away from Truist this weekend.
Unless you have those Ga Power seats and need to invites some friends
If the team you root hard for always loses, maybe you should become a dodgers fan for the next week or so.
I'm torn on what to do with Charlie. On one hand, I like the idea of getting Ian a home start and having Chuck going in game 3 in LA. On the other, throwing Chuck in game 3 means he likely only goes once unless we get to a game 7. And that'd be a little tough to take.
I prefer him staring game 2. It feels like codling MLB players, like Ian has never played on the road before. Similar to 2018 or whenever we did that.
Maybe he's struggling and want to give him an extra day.
