Think we make a run at Manny or Bryce in the off-season? Trade dansbae and let Manny play shortstop and let Johann play 3rd until Riley is ready then let him super sub? Bryce would be great too and let a lineup of Freddie Acuna Bryce be a thing. I don’t know. I miss Ted because we could realistically talk about premier FAs without it seeming like a total pipe dream.
He wasn’t. Manny has just explicitly stated he’s an SS moving forward. I’m sure that will heavily factor in to his eventual landing spot.
If AJ pollack stays healthy the rest of the year, and we don't get Bryce I wouldn't mind signing him. Always puts up impressive numbers and just turned 30 would be a very good 2nd option
That's stupid on Manny and any teams behalf. But I was referring to just Camargo. I know Dansby has been a black hole at the plate... More wondering about Riley at 3B and Camargo at SS. Would a drop in defensive ability, be offset by being much better at the plate?
I had this thought yesterday. If I’m not mistaken, we pushed for Pollock in the Miller deal but they wouldn’t do Dansby and Pollock. Granted, it’s a different GM but I’m sure people in the organization still love him. My only concern would be his health.
Spoiler Utley, Beltran, Nomar, Edgar, Reyes, Eckstein, Uggla, Glavine, Soriano, Oswalt, Wright, Gordon, Schmidt, Zambrano, Rolen Pujols, Carpenter, Fuentes, Penny, Webb, Arroyo, Miggy, Howard, Hoffman, coaches, McCann, Capuano, Turnbow, Lee, Holliday, LoDuca, Berkman, Jones, Bay, Sanchez
Had a .292 slugging percentage as a RHB. .595 slugging percentage hitting lefty 1st homer of the season hitting righty
I think this is a foregone conclusion. I just wonder what the term of the deal will be. Hopefully it’s two or three years.
Three years? Nah. Straight one year deal or one year with a team/mutual option for a 2nd would be ideal.
Don't think he'll take that considering the season he is currently having. Dude will 100% want a multi-year deal.
Ideally he is our starting left fielder, Ronnie in right...someone that can do better than ground out to 2B in CF
I’m sure he will, and someone will probably give it to him (American League most likely). But he’s 35 in November and will have had one really good year and three mediocre-to-bad years in Atlanta. And he can’t DH in the NL as he ages.
Only played more than 100 games 3 times in his entire career. Huge risk to give any sort of big money to him.
They've already announced our rotation. Its Sanchez, Newcomb, Folty, Teheran and likely Gohara in that order.
