Hope he can keep that arm healthy. Get a barrel of rice and some clear
waiting on gaus, wink, duvy and freeman right?
would let the last two walk imo
You’d let our starting RF walk?
i would very much like to bring back brach
wasn’t aware it was even a possibility that we’d decide not to
lol non guaranteed
all the deals today are
If we can give Freeman $100, that's as high as I go
Lemahieu to the yankees. So Machado is done to Phillies and White Sox
lets hope he goes to Chicago
dodgers trade for russell martin
marlins losing leverage for realmuto more and more
just curious, details on how you came up with your grades?
Eh. It's nice to get Donaldson, but for how many games? Nothing done to the rotation that includes Julio. The pen I feel decent about, would feel really good about Craig at a smaller contract (not realistic). Bmac can be a great veteran presents with Tflow. It's not terrible but also doesnt signal that we are about to win 15 straight.
i am so happy that we are going to get another year of ace sorry haters and losers
Why are you apologizing to yourself
ha ha roasted
It's not a perfect offseason, but Donaldson, Realmuto, McCann, Markakis and a solid reliever would fill a lot of holes. Add roughly ~11 wins of talent in Donaldson, Realmuto and McCann, assuming health. Markakis coming back isn't ideal, but you've got depth and options with Camargo and Duvall if Markakis' second-half slide was the start of the downturn.
Books are still clean, would still have prospect depth to go after a rotation upgrade at the deadline and still have plenty of young arms that can work out of the bullpen or in the rotation this year. That plus adding a top-tier 3B and an elite catcher would be a good offseason.
Markakis is a hole that needed to be filled. Filling it with the same guy, doesn't fill it.
I don't believe we're done, and I'm holding out hope that Nick isn't our third outfielder. At or closer to 2nd half Nick seems like the real Nick going forward, first half is a pipe dream.
a lot of time left before opening day. AA will figure it all out i am sure
I don't necessarily disagree, but if Nick's a ~100 wRC+ bat on a one-year deal and you've upgraded at 3B and C with the ability to upgrade other positions at the deadline, I'm not going to get super upset that Nick is back.
2019 Uniform Showcase - LIVE! at The Battery Atlanta - Braves will unveil the refreshed uniforms for the 2019 season inside LIVE! at The Battery Atlanta at 11:30 a.m on Saturday, January 19th. Ronald Acuña Jr., Ozzie Albies, Freddie Freeman, Ender Inciarte and Dansby Swanson will debut the subtle uniform updates to fans for the first time.
They're going to be so subtle you won't even notice them
Little bit of houndstooth on the sides, perhaps.
wouldn't be thrilled about Markakis returning but much less thrilled about doing nothing to add to the top half of the rotation.
My friend in marketing just sent me the new look. Trying to upload the picture now.
I agree, not thrilled about kakes we will see what happens. Folty is a perfect #2 starter as well, if we had a horse at the top and Mike can go in game 2 in a series that would be ideal.
Chipper can go hunting in the morning and be at batting practice by noon without changing. Genius
Lots of money
Some rumors on twitter out of Venezuela about the Braves and Marwin Gonzalez.
this tweet is almost assuredly bs
No doubt, large grains of salts.
Ready for all the dogshit Welcome to Marwin jokes the Barves PR team churns out
I would prefer a cheaper deal but I fucking love Marwin
Rojas says it's not true.
Marwin is arguably the best utility guy in the league. Would love that pick up
The idea of having two switch hitters that can play all over the place makes me a little giddy with anticipation at how much shitposting we’ll see by May about how Snit can’t fucking use them right
I’ll wait for Bill Shanks to confirm. No reason to deal in speculation until then.
