I realize he's pitching over his head. I'm just not sure where we'd be without him and not super confident that AA would adequately replace him if he signs elsewhere.
Ideally given how long JT has been in Atlanta's org, you'd hope to get the courtesy call to match or decline before signing somewhere else to protect yourself a bit.
3 earned runs now to drive his era as a ranger up to 4.50 you got us there wtx hope the franchise is able to survive such a loss 8)
lol that’s exactly what a 5th starter is dumbass he’s faired really well against the brewers and now the blue jays who have one of the hottest offenses in baseball
O/U: 1.5 career MVPs for Ronald Acuna? Dan Szymborski: I’ll say over https://blogs.fangraphs.com/ronald-acuna-and-the-40-40-club/ Ronald Acuña and the 40-40 Club by Dan Szymborski August 14, 2019 "Even if Acuña never joins the 40-40 Club, he has a great shot to become one of the game’s elites when it comes to combination of power and speed. ZiPS currently projects Acuña to finish with the sixth-best Power/Speed number in baseball history. And the list of players he would join is a mighty impressive one:" Multiple 40-40 seasons? Joining Bonds in the 400/400 and 500/500 clubs? Becoming the first member of the 50/50 Club? All of these things are possibilities, as are feats we might not even consider before Acuña achieves them.
If you look at that list and break it down by HR per game he blows everyone else on there out of the water. Everybody else in the top 10 played at least 300 games to get those numbers. Ott and Griffey both played over 425. Eddie Mathews is the only one remotely close by HR/PA
I know. Had to get a rise out of you. Julio has been damn fine for us. Huge lift for this team. I was just messing.
I don't know all of the exact years and numbers but I'm going with Chipper (several times, don't know what years but I assume one was the MVP season 1999 or 2001?), Andruw (it was 2004 and 2005 or 2005 and 2006, one was the 50 HR year), Javy (2003 and 48 HR I think, the year he was clearly on the juice), Gary Sheffield (also 2003)
missing one, Sheffield hit 39 his one year here. Other than that you've got it, just missing one guy from the 90s
T minus one hour until the final scouting report. Will tell Bryce Ball a man named Jeremy in the internet wants to fellate him. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
