i am glad he got hurt so all these animals can finally start to appreciate him you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone
One positive thing about my addiction was that I was pretty much out of it for the entirety of all the bad years and don’t remember much. Sobered up just in time to watch the good Braves the last two seasons.
Quickly in my head we have series wins over the Dodgers, Cubs, Twins, Indians, Nationals x 2 from that list. A combined 17-14 record vs teams from the WS odds list.
It was a trade to shore up center after Nate McLouth turned in his third consecutive dogshit season as a Brave. Great move tho
McClouth was so fucking bad I almost feel bad for cheering when he and Heyward collided in the outfield and he was the one that got hurt
I'm not upset about Pache or Waters. I didnt expect either one to be ready this year and it's a sign of their talent that they are in Gwinnett already. Anything we see from them is a bonus heading into next year
We went from the vacuum of McLouth to the black hole of Uggla. Both were Mendoza aficionados by the end of their Braves tenure. Uggla was the silver slugger winner in 2010. In 2013 he set an MLB record for fewest hits in a season with a qualifying number of ABs—80 in 448. Dark times my friends.
I remember during his like 30+ game hit streak he was averaging just more than 1 hit per game. Something like 31 hits for a 30 game hit streak
So pache is hitting 7th now... He's really struggling, but is that really what the minor leagues are about?
I think they’re trying to take away the pressure of hitting near the top. Let him just focus on hitting and not RBIs.
Feels like Pache was always going to experience some growing pains at the plate. Now, Drew Waters? You can plug that kid into the big club’s lineup tomorrow and he won’t miss a beat.
If they weren’t totally different races, Shanks would probably argue he’s had them confused for the past few years.
You guys ready for a lineup that looks like this tomorrow: RF Ronnie 2B Oz 1B Fred 3B JD C Mac SS Hech LF Ortega P Keuchel CF Hamilton
Snitker moving pitchers back to 9th in lineup By Mark Bowman | May 9, 2018 ST. PETERSBURG -- Braves manager Brian Snitker reluctantly relented to the front office's suggestion to begin batting his starting pitcher in the eighth spot of the lineup. But he is now done with what proved to be a short-term experiment. "I don't like it," Snitker said. "We might go back to it some. I didn't like it when I did it before. I did it for a specific purpose. But I'm going to go back to hitting the pitcher ninth.” He didn’t like it.
Think his defense has really slipped this year, but so had hechavarria's. Hope he can get it together.
