Damn man. I was there too. I don't want to pour salt in that wound, so I'll just say something negative, that we were sitting two rows from the top in the left field upper deck. You practically had to hunch over when you stood up to see everything because of the low overhang. Other than that...
Tobias kill himself yet with the universal DH announcement?
It definitely bodes well for Kakes to reach 3000 hits (all while batting fifth for the next decade)
universal dh, my ass (there won’t be a universal dh)
The year is 2029. Nick Markakis rips a bloop single over the head of the third baseman for his 3000th hit. Tobias reluctantly pawns his wedding band to buy he and Jrmy two Greyhound tickets to Cooperstown
you have this backwards. full bet terms:
2099-2598: tobias owes jrmy $50
2599: tobias owes jrmy an all expenses paid weekend in atlanta (2 brave games min) and $50
2601-2999: jrmy owes tobias $50
3000+ & HoF: jrmy owes tobias an all expenses paid trip to cooperstown for his induction and $50
bet becomes final when markakis is off an mlb roster for 24 consecutive months from last roster appearance
bet is void if he dies or suffers a career ending injury (defined as paralysis or loss of use of a limb/digit) off the field or on the field as a result of a fan or animal attack
if kakes contracts covid19 and suffers lung damage to end his career, that voids the bet imo. jrmy disagrees. the lawyers will have to settle it.
I sincerely apologize for mislabeling you as a Kakes doubted. I'll make it up to you
the wrist injury last year and this lost season are really going to hurt my chances for this bet
i have no one to blame but myself for not writing in a global pandemic clause
Your lack of foresight is pathetic
This was all plandemic’ed
Always hedge my friend. Always.
to be clear, it kills my chances for the cooperstown trip
he only needs 246 more for 2601
i will be on pins and needles when he gets 2599 because if that’s the last hit of his careers it’s going to be quite the financial boondoggle for me
That 2025 season is gonna be a nail biter
Your best bet is no baseball is played ever again and you raise impossibility as a defense
i think a disease from a bat in china ending baseball would qualify as a career ending injury to his career as a result of an animal attack. got a solid case
Random thought: Since the MLB draft is fucked now maybe we’ll be able to sign some southeastern kids who grew up Barves fan. Might also be helpful for them being closer to home depending on how long the pandemic continues.
I also wondered about that, I would think having only 5 rounds and then a $20k cap on all other bonuses give the Braves essentially a huge recruiting advantage.
Y’all watching this 99 NLCS? Isn’t that Pat Mahomes dad was just in relief for the Mets?
Nice friday afternoon and.. no Braves. Fuck
to be fair we wouldn’t be starting until late tonight
should be in san fran right now
that series last year against them was awesome. the riley winner to cap off his monster showing
What a glorious time, when teams were dumb enough to still throw Big River a fastball.
i am mad already
It can’t feature too much of the bullpen because that means they would have required them to throw strikes.
Calling it now: Austin Riley hits .285 with 46 bombs and 100 RBIs whenever baseball comes back
a damn fine 5 year career for my youngest son
suck it Kenny Rogers
Not bad for an 81 game season.
10 years, we’re getting old. RIP Tommy Hanson.
Fuck, that was 10 years ago?
Who was Tommy Hanson better than on the Reds?
There was a Red pitcher that he was always compared to as better than. The Red TMB fans got mad often
What the fuck is your problem
"I ain't seen the Braves play a game all year"
Calm down stuhly damn it was a joke
Caught a Burlington Royals game this past year just because I wanted to see Brooks. Don’t judge me.
Actually spoke to him about this and he credited Chipper with prepping him for this AB.
Cordero was coming out of the pen, and Brooks had never seen him before. He said he spent the entire time Cordero was warming up talking to Chipper. Told him that Cordero’s fastball has fade, and if he sees it over the outer part to be ready to go the other way.
Awesome guy. Spent probably 15 minutes with me and my niece before the game right up until the national anthem.
guys i really miss baseball
