I read the question wrong, and was thinking who would we trade for. FA is a different ball game. If we treat them like Rob and Oz we are getting nobody lol. Ole Frugal AA
I want him this year for sure but I really want that next full season with him in the rotation. I think we can make a big run this season with him and a bullpen piece but next year could be big with another signing somewhere.
Absolutely. It’s silly to just say corner guy without drawing the distinction between left and right too. If Waters has right field defensive ability and ends up being our left fielder, that’s pretty nice.
Umm things have gone awry in Gwinnett tonight. Bryse Wilson 2 2/3 IP 9 ER 8 H 3 BB 2 K 1 HR Maybe we don't start him in Milwaukee next week. Goodness.
I don’t know that I’m believing in either one of those guys to continue to do what they did in the first half But I like to live dangerously so I’d think hard about it
i can go out to the b&g, party my socks off and still be back by first pitch love a west coast series over the weekend
The Stripers game ended in a 15-12 loss and our man Ender managed to somehow go 0 for 5 But Alex Jackson went 4-5 with a double, two homers, and 6 RBI
my favorite west coast, weekend memory (and one of my favorites from the rebuild) 2 years ago next sunday
Jose Olague at Rome is interesting. Last 3 starts he's gone 22 innings, given up 3 earned runs, 14 hits, 2 walks, but only 12 strikeouts. That included an 86 pitch, 2 hit, no walk, complete game where he only gave up 1 unearned run.
i picture late career kakes as an ohtani type where he rests the first 6 innings and then we pinch hit with him to close out the game on the mound
Braves have to be trying to trade ender like they would a DFA candidate at this point. I assume if they can’t before they have to activate him then goat would be the odd man out until they can ship him out.
Cautiously optimistic but I believe Gausman has had back to back good starts. IIRC in his start at Florida I think I read he had dominating stuff in the last few innings. He gave up a 3 run HR in that outing but other than that I think he was pretty good. Piggybacking that with last night's outing at Mississippi and I'm encouraged.
He was quite good the second half for us last year so we know it's possible. He also seems coachable and humble which I appreciate. I don't know I just feel like he's going to contribute in a significant way for us down the stretch.
Wright starts tonight in Gwinnett. If that goes well might he take Wilson's start in Milwaukee? Push him back one day so he starts on regular rest Wednesday and push up someone else to Wilson's scheduled start? Would you start Wilson at Milwaukee Tues after he just gave up 9 ER in 2 2/3 IP at Charlotte? Seems like a bad plan.
Thought Wright should have gotten the call from the jump. I just really don't see a future for Wilson in the rotation. Get this shit over with already and move him to the pen.
