Exactly. Coming off of two in a row in Philly and Newk vs Nola I wish I would've bet the house. No way we were going to win. So tired of watching these guys throwing 30 pitches an inning and leaving by the 4th. Better off doing the Tampa Bay strategy and starting relievers. Give Tomlin a try.
i know your other children, Malorynn and Brendynn, must be proud to see their older brother promoted.
Bullpen games are fine on occasion, but the best way to ruin your team's biggest strength is to consistently do bullpen games. At some point we need to figure out if these young guys are going to work out as starters or not. I think the case is pretty much closed on Newcomb and Folty, but there is still optimism with Wright, and Touki was amazing in his last start. So we have the makings of a not-terrible top 3. Wilson is next who I know nobody has faith in, but we don't have a whole lot more options. I would assume we will call up Anderson and Davidson as the season progresses, and wouldn't be shocked to see Muller given an opportunity late in the year.
It’s not always his two pitches either. He seems to sequence them horribly so that people can easily sit on one of two pitches.
I mean, he threw a Fastball 70% of the time last year. If they just sit fastball, they'll get at least two every at bat
If Austin Riley got to face Bryse Wilson 35 games a year he’d crush Bonds’ home run record and easily hit over .400
I mean, his issues weren't anything to do with throwing strikes. He's got a good mid 90s fastball & control, just needs more or will be in the pen quickly. I'm old enough to remember Gausman learning multiple new pitches while on the IL....so I don't see why a 22 year old can't either
Really wishing we'd kept Julio Ace Teheran around for 2020. It would've worked so well and he'd be back in Gwinette like most of our other pitchers. I'm shocked Tobias hasn't brought up his solid 2 inning, 2 bombs, 5 earned run night last night. In before they were playing the A's excuse & the team won
we are somehow still on a 99 win pace over a full 162. i feel like BIG MATH is lying to me on this one
It is. Sample size error, it’s too small for that kind of extrapolation to be meaningful. If we had one more loss right now we’d be on a 90 win pace, and with a second loss right now we’d be on an 81 win pace. Give it two more weeks and you’ll likely have a better dataset.
I am not big believer in Bryse but I still think I would rather see him pitch than Newk as a starter.

i was worried about an asterisk on a title this year but when we win it all with me as our opener in game 7 and Clown Baby as a defensive replacement in the 8th, it’ll actually be the toughest and most honorable title ever won
No idea. Snit just implied that he’s gonna be an innings eater but not a starter (because if he starts that’s only 2 innings eaten)
That’s gonna interfere with the family dinner we have every Friday. Just kidding, Bryse is never invited anyway
Snit gets designated for assignment and the Braves finally named an unconventional baseball guy manager. That man? Brian Jordan. We lose out.
Paul Byrd: “How do you settle down after giving up 3 runs in the first? You start with the next pitch, then the next hitter, then the next batter.” Huh?
