What a waste of money
Did y’all forget he also doubles as the pitching coach?
Yeah 850k of that is his assistant pitching coach salary
I don't hate the signing, he has value in the bullpen.
Just not in high leverage situations in playoff games you dumb fuck snit
Hell yes, look at Liberty Media spending some fucking money
I do like the deal
He just needs to be the innings sponge from now on
Clown Baby probably sacrificed a 4 day weekend for a 3 day weekend to make this deal happen.
we appreciate your sacrifices kind sir
I had to downgrade my kids, Bressly and Chevin, from first class to business
Not sure how they will be able to enjoy the islands now
I fear they won’t understand the sacrifices I’ve made until they’re mid-level executives of a corporately owned professional baseball team
This is official
congrats to freddie on his award but until we win a title i won’t forgive him for 2019
Well someone's at the top of shitty offseason poster rankings
Just shorted Loubias stock on this news
Money machine going brrrrrrrrr
Anyone have access to our new prospect rankings on Baseball America?
probably a pipe dream b/c the Atlanta Braves REIT portfolio is being crushed...and that's our main focus over being a championship baseball team

Kyle Wright no long a prospect or not in the top 10?
No longer considered a prospect with the amount of inning he's thrown.
Might as well have lit that money onf fire
Last full year of baseball he had an ERA of like 7.
If they let Ozuna walk after that much on a meh pitcher
Sir, he's a Starter
Sorry trying to keep up with basketball right now
Seems like a lot of money but idk
I'm taking this as a sign that the Braves are ready to really spend some money across the board. Probably resign Bug and add another quality OF Bat
So last season doesn't count at all?
This is a curious move
We needed a starter. Just sucks that we spend 11,000,000 on a #5 vs maybe trying to acquire a guy who might actually pitch in the post season.
But hey, this isn't fantasy baseball bud
I don’t get it and it seems like a lot of money, but i’m also not going to proactively bitch that this is going to stop us from making other moves.
It was a really good 26 innings, but it also was...just 26 innings. I don't mind the gamble, but the price seems too high. Ultimately will depend on what they follow it up with.
Is he also taking the title of assistant to the pitching coach?
And he only threw 5 innings twice. A lot of 3-4 inning outings.
Sounds like a Smylie/Tomlin combo can get you about 6-7 innings
My sources are saying Josh Tomlin has moved him to the other side of the rubber
