Idk what is more unwatchable right now. This thread or our bullpen. Might have to give the edge to the thread.
It was an Orioles player in the pen. Just wanted to make that small correction because I remember the most useless things.
i have researched the matter further and will not admit any incorrectness nor any correctness. i plead no contest
Wes Parsons, our most consistently decent relief pitcher, was a starter primarily all the way through his minor league career until he got called up.
they threw peanuts at him and called him the n word. aka "hello" and "how are you doing?" in boston society
Pache went 1-3 with a homer and 2 walks to extend his line to .333/.377/.688 with a 211 wRC+ and his walk rate is up ~3% over last year So that’s cool
I still think he’s a guy who ends up walking enough to not be a black hole of OBP. His 2017 season he walked at a decent clip(39 BB) I’m sure him trying to tap into more power last year slightly changed his overall approach. Let’s see if it all sort of comes together for him this season.
He is pulling the ball almost 70% of the time though so that’s sub-optimal but I’m willing to chalk that up to SSS while still acknowledging we’ve seen enough to predict these good outcomes will always continue to happen and are transferable to the big leagues I know, very big of me
Don't want to Drew to feel left out.... Feel like both these guys could make their ATL debut in 2020.
why shouldn’t the braves just carry 10 starters and have them each go 4-5 innings every fifth day? Craig Edwards: 10 starters is a lot and when one or two guys can’t go 4-5 innings, that puts a big strain elsewhere. If you actually had 10 guys who could go 4-5 innings, if you took half of those guys and let them go an inning or two, they would probably be even better. Then, you just need a few more guys and all of a sudden you have a really good bullpen with your 5 best guys in the rotation.
Well how about that. What about that other kid we had the lead on...Robert Puason? Can't remember his name exactly.
Going to watch rough and rowdy with a bunch of friends. Currently watching featured group coverage and gambling on the golf tournament.
I’m not sure about Archie Bradley’s career, but was he in the minors because he couldn’t throw strikes or because he couldn’t get guys out immediately before he went to the bullpen and helped them? If not, different situation. We can just agree to disagree.
As a fan of baseball I hate seeing things like this. I hope he is not out an extended time. But, no doubt it has to have a positive effect on our East chances if he is.
Archie Bradley as a MLB starter: 21% K%, 11.1% BB%, 4.27 FIP, 4.31 xFIP Sean Newcomb as a MLB starter: 22.5% K%, 12.0% BB%, 4.16 FIP, 4.52 xFIP. I don't think we're talking about different situations here.
I’m watching the new season of GBBS just released on Netflix (that’s Great British Baking Show for all of the rubes ITT)
