Radical idea: Make the home plate ump go take a 30 second peek at his correct/blown strike calls between innings. Just a tablet behind the screen is fine. Gives them a chance to see “oh, I’m way off the outside corner” or “my zone is 3” too low tonight” early enough to do something about it. Seeing a replay after the game does nothing.
So this is what JD is like when he’s on? A guy that can hit any pitch out of the park, even out of the zone?

Seriously though, this chart could be shown to the ump after every half inning. Instead, nothing will happen or he’ll eventually get a slap on the wrist if he sucks long enough, but the damage will have been done.
