Braves are on MLB TV today vs Red Sox. Game will re-air on MLB Network at 8 tonight. Wright is starting for us and facing the Red Sox actual starters for the most part. Sale is pitching for Boston. Ozzie doubled to leadoff.
Probably so. Just trying to find something to be excited about. It's just interesting that he has the most on the team so far.
Once in about an hours time at a festival outside Brisbane, then once back in Melbourne during the week. May watch Thomas Rhett and Morgan Wallen on Wednesday and then go home haha
We could definitely see him soonish, but there is zero percent chance we don't manipulate his service time.
The excess cash is for midseason acquisitions only. We can get a Kimbrel type but we also have to take on $28 mil owed to a washed veteran too.
Might need his 180+ average innings more than ever this year. Keep forgetting how annoyingly volatile young arms are when I get excited about all of our pitching prospects. Going from "top prospect" to "good major league player" isn't as easy or automatic as Baseball America, Keith Law, etc. make it seem. Finally got Folty's breakout last year and now he has arm issues. Newcomb still has the control of a high schooler. Fried has a blister after every other appearance. Bowman needs to stop bullshitting about trying to control Kyle Wright's service time. We're going to need him to push for ROY at this rate. Plus, we need to stop babying some of these young guys. It doesn't seem to be helping considering all of the arm injuries. Need Wright, Touki, and/or Fried to entrench themselves as major league starters going forward.
We give Snit a lot of shit (and for good reason) but he did have the good sense not to start Julio in the playoffs last year
because he was saving him for opening day this year so many of you clowns are playing checkers while snit is playing chess
I'm so pissed about our lack of activity. Almost feels like we are tanking at this point. Every day there's more bad news. Starters and relievers going down daily and AA just sits here with his thumb in his ass.
I don't really have an issue with AA at this point. Pretty clear his hands are being tied from above.
He had pretty much said he has money but would rather use it at the deadline. We may be way out of it by then.
