Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] I don't understand. why did this happen. why. I mean he didn't have the same position he once did but robb still had a place in this book.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] I think every single death makes sense. This I just don't see. I mean wtf man. Crazy stuff and I never saw that coming so I guess well done GRRM. I had heard the name "red wedding" but I didn't think it would mean this. And then arya is there in the next pov... man rough stuff. She needs to stay away from her family. First Ned and now her mother/robb.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] actually it gets even worse for Robb as you keep reading...i heard the name red wedding mentioned many times, i was assuming it meant Joff's and was going to be a fun bloodbath battle
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] the end of 3 really is fucking brutal
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] I think i'm gonna take a couple days off from reading. Last one I read was Sandor and Arya.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] You have your timeline messed up brah.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] I mean he's dead. Is he gonna come back to life and die again?
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] well he hasn't read the entire details of what happened yet at the red wedding
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] Thats how I felt too. Crazy that the death of a character that never even had a POV messes people up so much. I was HEATED though. I had to remind myself that I'm a grown man with 2+2 kids to raise, a wife and a team to coach (plus a job) and that I shouldn't be that mad about a book that came out like 10 years ago, lol
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] God damnit. And Grey Wind knew it was coming too.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] KEEP READING. Some good ass chapters coming up.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] I really do. Too busy tonight/tomorrow but hopefully i'll be able to finish this weekend.
Re: NO, GOD NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [Enter only if book 3 finished] i stayed up all night finishing that book...couldn't not finish it...definitely worth pushing through to get to the final chapter
Re: Redemption [Enter only if book 3 finished] Just read tyrion's chapter. :oshit: at tyrion but at the poisoned king
You're talking about what Tywin said? I guess I'm blanking of the meaning of that? Did he mean to the next person willing to pay?
Can you explain more without giving away a spoiler? I know Spoiler Tyrion is alive in the 5th book because I think I saw some leaked tyrion pov.
Not really too much of a spoiler but Spoiler When Tyrion killed Tywin he asked where Tysha was and Tywin said "wherever whores go" and now Tyrion asks everyone the generic question "where do whores go?" They do an amazing job on his psyche after everything that has happened to him imo
Oh ok gotcha. Intersting. Wish I could start the 5th book now but I have to go through book 4. Not looking forward to it after everyone said it was a letdown.
the start of the book so far is rough, definitely a much slower read than the last two books, still only about half way through
nope, but that makes the beginning of the 5th book amazing because its pretty much just Dany Jon and Tyrion
When I got to that chapter I threw the book across the room and yelled obcenities for five minutes. That's when I knew that ASOFAI was 100000000x what Harry Potter ever was. I was trying to explain to a friend at the premier last night about these books and basically said that Rowling would never in her mind kill off Harry, Ron, or Hermione, and everyone knew that. GRRM would have killed them all at the end of Sorcerors Stone if he wrote it and that's why these books are so fucking good. The character development is so fantastic and then he just says fuck it and kills people. I don't know why it took me so long to read these books, it completely goes against the classic writing style.....very few authors take the time to connect their readers with the characters only to show how unimportant they are in the grand scheme of things. Awesome book, can't wait for the rest.
Well remember that most people had just finished book 3 with all that happened in it and waited multiple years (I think 3 or 4) for the next book to come out so the expectations were likely very high. I liked book 4 personally.
Literally just finished SOS, my god was that amazing, also not really looking forward to 4, but I have to pound it out to get to 5.
very similar reaction after reading that chapter currently about 40% through with book #4. it's been a struggle
Finished book 3 a couple of days ago. Haven't picked up 4 yet. ASOS is such an emotional roller coaster that's it draining. I feel I need a break from the books for a bit to care again. Saying that I'll probably start book 4 tonight before bed. I've been reading 2 chapters before bed and it's made reading them much more manageable. If I sit down and read for 2-3 straight hours I look up and all this time has gone by but I feel like I didn't even put a dent into the book.
good idea, you have plenty of time to finish it before the show catches up (and who knows when book 6 will hit)
this should probably be obvious if you are finished with book 3. I'm only on book 4 though so maybe he was trolling.
Oh I see what he meant now. I finished Book 3. He meant up to that point. For some reason I read it like he was commenting after reading Book 5.
Well at the end of book 3 didn't she say: Spoiler that she wanted to stay in Meereen and rule as queen there
