Whats the best way to go for 20k in home improvement? We owe 231 and the home is valued at 249 so I don't think we can get an equity line. We've been here a year a half and have a few projects we want to do. Once the neighborhood is done in about a year I feel like values are going to be in a real good spot and I'd like to be updated when it's the right time to upgrade.
It's a tad risky and maybe not the best, but I'm using an 18 month interest-free credit card to finance my project. Went with Chase, who I have a long relationship with, and they gave me a $25K credit limit on an interest-free card. So, essentially, it's a 0% loan with an 18 month term. Of course, if you don't pay it off in that timeframe the rates go to 20+%.
Call around to some local banks. We found one that would go up to 100% loan to value on a heloc. We are using ours to buy rental properties. Wish we had more equity so we could do a full master bath remodel, oh well.
without knowing more, I can’t say. They could have points included in closing costs to get the rate down. I’d have to look at the loan estimate to see the difference.
you can get a home improvement loan. we got one for $15k on my last house through Suntrust and it was a 4.9% rate. not great but i paid it off pretty early.
I guess I am just unsure of how to best wire some of them up. Some have a separate ballast, some the ballast is built in and other seem to be wired in series.
i guess I’m confused. I thought you were comparing two different refi offers. Are you talking about your current mortgage company reaching out to you to refinance? If so, they are doing that because rates are insanely low and want you to refi with them before you call someone else. Pretty normal.
Yeah i thought about this. We were dumb four years ago and bought two new cars at once. Those are paid in April which would let us pay off any personal loans pretty quickly.
This is what I have. A decent drill with a carbide tip. It easily drilled the first two holes then it wouldn’t go deeper than 1/4”.
Gah our water pressure sucks. I am really intrigued by this but can’t really find what they were talking about.
I have a makita plug in and a makita cordless. the plug in one is about a billion times better. Drills through brick like butter 8 Amp 1 in. Corded SDS-Plus Concrete/Masonry AVT (Anti-Vibration Technology) Rotary Hammer Drill with Handle Hard Case https://www.homedepot.com/p/206040966
I bought a bidet a couple months ago and I got it and installed a week ago. I tried using it and I was violated. It doesn’t seem like there’s any way to turn down the pressure of it. Anyone had this issue? Fortunately I installed it in the room/bathroom designated for my wife to keep all her clutter, but it’s basically a waste right now.
What do you mean? I tried drilling a few different holes hoping that I was just hitting a hard part of the rock (if that’s a thing) and it didn’t do shit.
Rent an impact hammer for 40 bucks from HomeDepot and call it a day. It will be significantly easier and quicker.
Thats exactly what I mean My next guess is your drill bit is shot, and you are probably using a regular drill with a hammer drill bit which will yield short life of the bit
When I learned of this a few years ago it was one of the happiest days of my very happy life. And every time I step in the shower, I'm reminded of my happiness. No one deserves to suffer through suggested water pressure.
Is it a toilet bowl attachment or an actual separate bowl? As an attachment there should be some adjustment possibilities in the installation guide. If it's separate and there's a different valve than the toilet then just tighten that valve to lessen the water flow
I'm in the infancy stages & trying to figure out how/where I should start with smart-home integration. Interested in the following: Thermometer Home Security - door sensors, motion sensors, smoke detection, Lighting/Camera - Outdoor / Indoor Garage Door We are pretty Apple centric, so HomeKit might make sense, but open to whatever
It’s an attachment. When you go to turn the knob it starts on full anal blast. If you want a gentle douche you gotta turn the knob and power through the anal blast 1000 first. Tbh I installed it and didn’t really care bc I never use that bathroom, but this thread made me think about it and how my wife is scared to use the bidet.
