Electricity is something that freaks everyone out but most of it is actually pretty basic. Plumbing/water is still the one thing that freaks me out though and I’ve only messed with minor stuff.
Ugh....owning a home can suck sometimes. We had a small gas leak at the entry point to the house which caused us to have to dig up and replace the line. It's a house built in the 50s so not entirely unexpected but just sucks to have a big expenditure like that.
Got a letter from the IRS on Monday stating I owed $136k in taxes from when I sold my previous home in 2018. I nearly shit myself. Luckily they are full of shit and I don’t owe anything.
A guy I work with got one a few years ago that told him he owed like $250k His wife called him when she opened the mail at home and he immediately left and was scared shit less
No trees to take down, but my sewage line has roots in it too. Luckily my father in law knows people who are licensed and he can do some of the digging himself so it won’t be that bad of a cost. Still a pain in the ass and painful seeing my yard get ripped up.
Most likely a fuckup by the closing company or USPS then that resulted in the IRS getting one but not you.
Yeah I’m not worried about it. My cousin is a CPA and does my taxes. He said I don’t owe anything and he’ll take care of it.
House finally sold and closed. Don't have to deal with that real estate agent anymore....glad to only have one house payment again. Also glad to be in a 7 year old house and not a 70ish year old house anymore, amount of random shit that pops up should go way down. Also I moved into that house 6 years ago and was told the AC unit probably had 5 years left, glad to be out of there before it needed replacement
I just won’t fuck with electrical. Both because I don’t want to kill myself and also because it’s a 110-year old house I live in and don’t trust any wiring.
Honestly idk. They weren't here long. I think they had to change an outlet due to voltage or something. I stayed away and let the foreman direct everyone.
Our fence is being replaced today and he wants to know if we want the good side of the fence facing in (towards or house) or not. He was saying that some people prefer it facing out so now I’m not sure anyone have any recs?
