Agreed. And perhaps no corrections until interest rates increase. OSB is $38/sheet here. And I see it on trucks headed to jobs every day. There's a break for unit pricing, but it is still up 300% or more, I bet.
This is my worry. As the wife and I are debating our next move, building has came up more and more. But prices are so fucking high rn. We are actually looking at hiring a small time miller to fall some lumber on my parents property and mill out some 2x4 and beams if it comes to that.
What people don’t want to talk about is the builders costs right now since they’re all hooked up. You want them to up and quit the houses they have lined up? You’re paying a premium.
Live outside city limits and some small (one truck) trash service collects our trash. They take payment thru paypal and have never sent a bill or reminder even tho the lady has said multiple times she would every month. Just realized I haven't paid in 12 months. They do a great job and I'm going to pay them but also don't think I should have to handle their billing. This is 3rd time I've realized I was behind multiple months (never close to this far though) and I have always been the one that pointed it out
Laid sod this morning. Before pic is after a bunch of bushes and trees were ripped out but you get the idea
Loan shit is so stupid. We get a pre-qual! Yay! Now we’re conditionally approved! But the lender still needs tax docs showing we’ve filed and paid our 2020 taxes (that aren’t due yet).
If you are suburban or rural enough, a sod/grass company. Your garden store will have some, and so might Lowes or HD but I would avoid their grass.
Are there any strong feelings about hoses around here? The expandable types have not been kind to me.
i have too much water pressure in my bathroom sink faucets, whats the easiest way to lower that, just partially close the water valves under the sink? weird question I know, and googling leads to obviously opposite problems
What's the actual problem you are seeing? You can restrict flow by closing the angle stop, but pressure will be the same You would get the same result by just not opening the faucet handle all the way
bold is contentious with the wife its a double sink and if you open one 100% of the way in about 15-20 seconds it stops being able to drain fast enough so starts accumulating water to the point it'll even bubble up in the second sink as overflow. thought there was obstructions or something but have snaked and used draino and shit to no relief.
Sod farms here can’t supply anything for a couple more weeks at least because of the sleet /snow storm a week or so ago. Looking to get 25’x100’. I’m sure it’s going to be $$ here.
Just had a fuckton of sod laid only to find out my field lines need replaced so I get to have a lot of it ripped back up
House hunting right now. I get so goddamn triggered every time I see these house photos with distorted pictures to make rooms look bigger. I guess that's the new norm though.
Try this. It worked great for my sinks. Easily found at Home Depot or even some grocery stores Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing. 33.8 oz. Hair and Grease Drain Cleaner https://www.homedepot.com/p/100144566
I mean i understand that as being mildly annoying. But i don't think that's a good excuse for not paying for your services for a whole damn year.
The plant on the mantle is cool. My engineering OCD side hates that the TV isn’t centered on it though.
labor shortage at the farm? In Texas, they said it was due to damage from storms. With that said, I called someone yesterday and they have my desired grass in stock, actually going today to pick up a few pieces to fill in.
The past couple of years sod has been in such limited supply in North Texas, that you had to be at the sod store in line at 7 am to get any. Even then it wasn’t guaranteed. If you showed up past 7:15 or so you were pretty much SOL.
