Mine seems for bounce back and forth One year I owe like $2000 The next they cut me a check for $500 It's so fucking stupid
Mine just goes up every year. I assume it's something to do with the oncoming insurance crisis which I'm looking forward to
If y’all ever buy a gas grill and the assembled model won’t fit in your suv do not take an unassembled unit home in a box to put together yourself to save money on delivery.
I did this once with a big charcoal gas combo grill. The sales associate was like you understand nothing is put together right? I was like yup, and now I’ll know how to replace things if an issue ever pops up.
They said the same thing and I was like “how hard can it be?” When I had everything unboxed and spread out on my porch, while dripping sweat with the 100 plus heat index, I just said to myself “look what you did you little jerk.”
I enjoy a project like that but under those conditions and likely a time crunch for the holiday? Fuck that.
The best part is I was taking breaks while assembling it to water the yard and within 10 minutes of me turning the sprinkler off it started pouring rain for hours. Great Fourth!
Next time I’ll take it to a brewery where I can source child labor from unsupervised kids to put it together
I know this is highly specific, but does anyone with a Nest thermostat know if an E195 error is more electrical or HVAC related? Nest / HVAC went out this afternoon, some sites say call an electrician, some say call an HVAC guy, I’m also curious if there is like Nest experts because it looks like their customer service stinks
HVAC it’s saying that there’s no 24Vac detected which is supplied by the control board of your furnace. An electrician would likely just check the connections/power from your electric panel to the furnace — which is probably fine. Feel free to PM me as I’ve done a lot of messing around with my nest.
Awesome, thank you! I spent some time today messing around with it, the switch board, etc so couldn’t figure it out. Will probably call an HVAC repair guy and see if the control board blew out on the furnace
If you have a multimeter (which every homeowner should IMO) set it to Vac and put the probes between the red (R) and blue (C) wires at the thermostat. Then you can do the same on the furnace control board but you’ll need to tape down the cover sensor (if yours has one). Or just call an hvac guy
Well no. You order it online and let them ship it to you. Still a fun few hours putting it together. And maybe had a part leftover.
Somebody talk me out of moving. Got a chance to sell with a ton of equity. Opportunity to buy a house in a growing area in the golf course community we love and can see us retiring there. Cons…hate moving, interests rates, further north away from everything, kids school goes from 10 mins away to 30, moving kids away from friends.
Yes. It’s mostly a retirement area but more and more young families are coming up that way and out of Tampa.
We’ll eventually get them in a school more local. Current school is just a couple more years through elementary.
You can refinance when rates trend down, but the golf course community in Tampa area likely won't get any cheaper... when/if rates drop the market will be flooded with buyers that have been on the fence & waiting.
We’re looking at getting an 8x10 shed for our backyard that’s fairly uneven so we’d need something to level it. Lowe’s said they can do 4” pavers but I’m thinking about just getting a concrete slab for it since we’re in Louisiana and I’m worried about rain eroding the area and causing slippage with just pavers
I can't imagine moving my kids 20 minutes away from their school and friends so I can be closer to the golf course.
Donated my 3% rate back to the bank for a nice shiny 6.5% to help BofA in these troubling times. Close tomorrow on the new one. Yay
You could also enclose an area that I’d say is 10x12 and drop and level gravel which might be cheaper? That’s what I did
If you move to Australia for the American summer months and then move to America for the Australian summer months, you’ll never need A/C!
