Where i live it's a law they need to be gated. Ill need a plan approved by the town. Architect. Etc and thats before i even get the fucking thing. It doesnt add value to the home anymore my insurance will go up. It's stupid. Ill get a temp pool and prob throw it out every year.
My street was torn up and re-paved yesterday and both last night and this morning when I went to our metal mailbox, I got a jolt of electrical current both times. The one yesterday was a pretty good jolt, today was less. Should I report that to the township? Wondering if they possibly hit an underground wire or something during the construction.
1) better safe than sorry 2) also report to the post office 3) do you have a voltmeter? I’d be shocked if there were any live power cables anywhere near the mailbox. Maybe low voltage wiring for lights or sprinklers? (see what I did there)
Same here. saw a first here the other day. Instead of a pool sign, it was a pool removal sign. I was kind of intrigued. But for the cost savings on insurance and potential sales, might be worth it. Before anyone gets wild, I live in the northeast so pools are open here maybe 4 months out of the year. You may be able to stretch out and get five months if you enjoy polar plunges.
It's based on (pre-tax) net income since it would be impractical to try to determine gross income on a case by case basis. I always have this conversation with people that there should be a distinction between what lenders technically allow and what you're actually comfortable with. That said, it's all highly regulated and there has been plenty of research done to ensure that the Debt to Income Ratio maximums are safe for the vast majority of people applying for a mortgage.
Curious, who is responsible for installing mailboxes? On our road, the mailboxes are on the opposite side of the road. Behind a guardrail. No clue how one is supposed to dig and concrete, as it's also on a steep hill. previous owners of the house placed the mailbox and 4x4 in a cinder-block and wired it to the guardrail. I have to go out there weekly to straighten it up, lol. Should just pour some concrete in the block and call it a day.
Ours was a new house when we moved in so I did ours. I later learned that there are regulations for how tall it's supposed to be that I didn't know about but we're getting out mail!
Has anybody used an affordable picture/art framing company they've liked? I see a lot of options online, but have no idea where to start. The ones that do the custom jobs are very expensive and slow. I have a lot of items that I'd like to hang and would love some recommendations.
yeah... I figured there has to be some company that's come along recently that can do this affordably with nice looking stuff.
My kitchen sink/garbage disposal stinks. I have poured various chemicals down there to get rid of it and it always comes back (garbage disposal cleaner, bleach, vinegar, etc). i have also taken apart the pea trap and cleaned it out. nothing. i can only assume it's coming from the dishwasher because I have never changed the filter out. (lived here 1.5 years) so I went to do that last night and it is the kind you have to go in there with a drill and screw it all out. didn't feel like fuckin with all that and just did a CLEAN wash with vinegar last night. we'll see if that works.
no way it will work. fortunately I have permanent covid nose so I can barely smell it but it bothers my wife!
We just go to Michaels when they have their largest “sale” of the year and it’s still absurd. I don’t know what the % is, wife tracks it but I can ask and find out if you are interested. We have an about 5-7 items that need to go but waiting on the discount. As I have aged, framing and kitchen cabinets are the two items that still boggle my mind about how expensive they are.
you have Michael’s do the framing? Or you buy the frames and do it yourselves? Cuz I’m not doing that shit
