Dry wall anchors are rated for 110lbs and it’s more like why not with them. If the tv dies will cry a bit then get the next size down.
Drywall anchors and mounts are like “expiration” dates on food they are merely suggestions for the weakest among us
Just punch a couple holes in your ceiling above and add a couple ratchet straps going around the TV and trusses above it and be done with it
Folks if anyone wants a keypad deadbolt, my home depot has the kwikset power bolt 250 on sale for $40. Got to the register and it was actually $20. That was truly one of life's magical moments
I hope you guys are as busy today at work as I am. My dishwasher is doing just fine but I watched a 30 minute video on dishwasher tips. Actually pretty cool stuff.
we always take a small piece of plywood and put a bunch of screws into studs then put the tv mount on to the ply wood. If you want to get fancy with it paint it first, but if the tv is tight to the wall you barely even see the wood with a big screen TV and you know it’s secure
After a little over a year of ownership I’m having my first NIMBY moment over this graffiti. The picture doesn’t really do it justice. The wooded area is a big park with walking trails and the bridge is a bike/walking path. View is from my bay window in my kitchen.
Are you upset that you don't get a clearer view of it? Those limbs should be relatively easy to clear.
A service request has been submitted via the city’s 311 app. Unfortunately for the culprits this isn’t the PNW and their graffiti should be removed in short order. Had no idea it existed until my dad, apparently the neighborhood narc, informed me.
Feel like the second spring hits you won’t see it. If that stuff bothered me I probably wouldn’t live right behind an overpass.
I think you are way over assuming how factor of safety works. Commercial airplane industry has the highest factor of safety in any manufacturing and it is set at 2
House is coming along. Builder is busting his ass trying to get it done, but there is no way it’s going to be warm enough to pour concrete for awhile. Spoiler
It’s not an interstate. It’s a park with a walking path. The leaves just fell off a week or so back and I could see it. Them falling off has made me hate it even more
it’s going to have railing. Ideally my children will never be up there, but I am sure they will find a way.
Same. This is the sort of thing where my parents would walk in from a kid free night out, only to find one of my younger brothers injured.
nice dude. Seems like you were able to get building pretty damn quick after the first one fell through. Were permits already pulled?
Anyone on here used an interior designer before? We have about a 2 week gap from closing on the new house and selling the current place where I would like to do some painting and stuff. Only issue is we are going from a 100 year old Craftsman Bungalow to a 1960's Mid Century so I have no fucking clue on paint colors, design, etc. They are vastly different styles.
yeah the place was already framed/insulated. We just got to do all the finishes. We switched the main house from a cabin style to more modern. They are going to complete the build from foundation to close though in 8ish months. The builder has had stuff lined up like crazy so there is no gaps in wait times. yeah we are using one right now out of Salem because we were in a similar boat and they were able to do it on short notice. Despite my frustration with the process overall (not the interior designer) they have been super helpful and not too expensive. My business partner used one who was high end on their complete remodel in Portland and spent a TON of money. Not sure that was worth but to each their own.
