so we pay a $1k deductible, if this is our first claim, is it guaranteed that our premiums will go up? we have usaa
I'm assuming most home insurance policies will raise your premium once you make a claim. Typically, how much does it go up, and for how long? I was always under the impression that house insurance was different from auto policies in that the premium didn't go up unless you were making tons of claims.
We had a new roof installed last year due to "hail and wind damage," but it did not affect our premium. It was our first claim ever on the house or cars.
Builder told us to paint our house it would cost $6800. Told us we could do it ourselves. After 2 straight days of just priming I'd kick myself if I had any energy.
2 bunnies missing (think the mom took them because it was cold) and 2 are dead (because it was too cold overnight). I'll spare you the part about my wife freaking out and bringing them inside, warming them up with a hair dryer, and then wrapping them in a towel while on a heating pad for an hour or so. This was until it started to get dusk and I was worried mama bunny was going to come back to feed them and they would be missing. Oh, wait, I guess you got to experience my misery on that as well.
I need it but it doesn't seem to be available in my area. Won't let me select delivery and isn't available for pickup within 250 miles of me.
plumbing/hose experts. what is happening my wife did something to my hose yesterday and now the rubber bumper (left) cant fit back on the hose end or the clasp thing on the right where it connects in with the faucet. and because water pressure in my house is weird, its leaking a drop every few seconds. help, computer
looks like you're suffering from blurry house Spoiler but it's probably a gasket issue. and you should replace the spigot if it's leaking. That's not a water pressure thing. It's a leak thing
i figured, short of that, i could just spend the 5 bucks on a new coupler but i dont know if it would fit to the actual hose so many choices http://www.homedepot.com/b/Outdoors...igation-Hose-Connectors-Fittings/N-5yc1vZbx5n
I was with alfa at the time, but I dropped them at renewal time after the roof was paid for. Their car insurance was going up everytime with no claims and went up quite a bit at the last renewal time. With Travelers now. Home owners a little less, but auto a lot less than before. Felt kind of guilty for dropping them after dropping $13K on my roof, but oh well.
Had a fence installed back in November and been waiting for it to lose its green treated color before applying a transparent stain. How much if any prep cleaning should I do to the fence before staining it?
Was thinking of doing the Behr wood cleaner since I do not access to a power washer. Figured with only been a few months that a power washer would be over kill.
Has anyone resurfaced a pool? Particularly with pebbletec. If so, what kind of cost am I looking at for an average to smallish sized pool?
Pebbletec murders your feet. Every summer I play pool basketball on weekends with buddies and we're always dealing with bloody toes, but it is nice.
Don't know about where you are located but here in Dallas a reputable company won't even come in your yard for a project less than about $3000, and that is for plain jane plaster, not Pebbletec. If you are in Florida, Zack Zedalis might have a better answer for you as that is his old stomping grounds and he knows pools.
I have a 90s era marcite pool. As far as I know, there are no leaks but the floor looks like shit and the tiling around the water line is fading.
Here are a couple sites to look at. I am a big fan of the quartz finishes. You get the color variation withput the rougher texture of the pebble http://nobletile.com/ http://clindustries.com/quartz-pool-finshes/sunstone/
Can you, yes. Would I advise it, no. If you get a good quality plaster with a lifetime warranty you are going to paint the pool numerous times. The money you save initially will be eaten up long term. A lot of prep work needs to be done to paint including degreasing the plaster and acid etching. Do it wrong and you are going to have a bad paint job that is going to wreck your filter and water chemistry when it goes south. It can be done and can be done well, just make sure it is done well or you will regret it.
A/c been pushing cold air for 10ish mins but then turns warm. Compressor and everything inside looked fine. Outdoor unit fan not blowing. How many future children must i sacrifice? 300$ worth? Hope its a capciator/wiring issue i guess
hopefully you are right and it is only the capacitor its only like a $15 part, so yea, $300 service call sounds about right
Found a $30 off coupon online with local servicer. Thankfully it gonna rain today/tmrw and stay in low 70s. I'll call and set it up for Monday. Such domestic. Wow
Need some advice. We've only been in the new house we built a little over a year. My dads going through Alzheimer's so parents are coming to live with us next month. We knew this was coming when we built the house but our budget didn't allow us to build the floor plan we liked with an extra living area above the garage like we wanted for my parents. Now there's a house for sale right down the street that has that floor plan. I could make it work where my monthly payments would be around the same amount if I sold ours and put a little more down. Is this something I should consider? We can make the living arrangements work in our house now and still have a good bit of money in savings. I know I'll have to pay taxes from the sale of our house also with not being in it for over 2 years. Any advice or guidance is appreciated. TIA.
Thanks. Seriously leaning towards doing it. Only thing is convincing the wife to leave our lot. We have privacy here as we have woods all along the house except for one neighbor. She loves not seeing anyone through the backwoods. The house with the floor plan backs up to the common area and walking trials so we'll lose all our privacy.
I could be wrong here, but I don't think you have to pay capital gains if you use the profits to purchase your new house.
