Assuming we could adjust motion detectors above him walking around, but he does get on top of the couch and look out the window.
As far as alarms go I don't know how useful a non-monthly payment system would be. If you don't pay for that wireless cell line for monitoring what's stopping someone from just cutting your lines?
Nice brass doorknob, really brings the room together There's 12 that I want to replace in my townhome...
Doesn't matter, just having one is the deterrent. Those criminals are opportunists, not worth even trying if they see a dog, they'll move on to the next house.
Hate those doorknobs, but I'm not replacing them at this point. I replaced all the door knobs downstairs, but at this point replacing the ones upstairs is gonna cost me $200-300. No thanks.
You could paint them. My mom painted all the door knobs in her home a blackish grey before selling it. It looks so much better.
I keep trying to talk myself out of doing it by telling myself "there's no way it's really that easy", but how hard was it to change them downstairs? Even with the number of changes I'm thinking of, it still probably wouldn't be enough to get a discount ordering them all at once.
Changing doorknobs? It's one of the easiest things you could hope to do. I know there's some places online where you can buy them in bulk for super cheap(~$10 per), but we didn't really think about it until we finished the bathroom. At that point we were listing the house.
anyone put in quartz countertops before? looking at ikea price per sq. foot and it is competitve w/ other places we've checked out. heard ikea hires subcontractors though so it is a crapshoot on who you get to install
Best 2500$ i spent was the four days in between closing and moving in gettin rid of mine. Immediate dollar for dollar ROI
They hold up well, she got the idea from my aunt who has done it and they've had theirs painted for at least ten years now. There are specific paints for it.
I spent a good portion of my day yesterday researching "smart home" products and putting together an amazon wish list, this was on it. Has anyone gone full "smart home" and if so would you recommend?
that website shows $199, is there some type of deal for GP customers? just curious i may look at my company up here.
There's a $100 instant rebate. Think a lot of providers are offering some sort of rebate on things like that now.
I bought two last week from BB and used a gift card, would I be able to get the gift card back if I returned? Might swing by later today and check.
I would think gift card or cash. Georgia power has a whole marketplace with lots of rebates on various smart devices including thermostats and locks.
Any posters ITT who are GP customers want to offer up their address so I can get that discounted Ecobee?
Good looking out, much appreciated. Returned the 2 ecco's to BB and got $335 refunded and $100 gift card back, not to mention picked up a few Hilton points on my CC, I'll take it. Will use giftcard towards a new TV. Word up, TMB saved me $220~ today.
and cool as a cucumber with this new HVAC system installed Monday. Roughed in plumbing this week and just waiting on the county to inspect addition. I'll be a damn happy camper if we can wrap this renovation up soon.
Met with our realtor last night to see how much we could sell our house for...$39k over purchase price after 20 months. Looks like we're moving soon
I don't really plan on making a habit out of it. Markets kind of forcing our hand right now, no telling if we'll be able to make money on it if we wait another year or two.
Good point. I'm pretty sure we're going to rent something for a few months and take our time finding something we both really like. Hopefully prices will have dropped a little by that point.
