http://www.homedepot.com/p/Brondell-Dual-Temperature-Bidet-Attachment-in-White-FSW-20/203357953 Not as fancy as the ones I saw in japan... but gets the job done. If you want a super fancy one you’ll have to either run an electrical outlet near your toilet or use some long extension cord.
Jax, I haven't determined the brand of your window yet. Nothing in my database. Reached out to another source. Will advise. Worth noting that while there are many window companies, there are only about 4 vendors for hardware, unless the companies manufacture their own. Will let you know what I hear. Have a good weekend.
Fuck yeah, tell me when housewarming party is and I'll make the drive. Contemporary ranch >>>>> everything else.
Preciate it man. If it helps the latch measures 2 1/4" long and about 3/4" wide. This one fits perfect other than it's about 2 3/4" long https://www.lowes.com/pd/Prime-Line...ite-Plastic-Sliding-Window-Sash-Locks/3824209
We're going to be some minor renovations but there's a shit ton of exposed brick in there and a courtyard in the front where I plan to put a kitchen garden.

No news. I will get you a link tomorrow before work if possible. This one place you can send them a picture of the part you need and purportedly they take it drom there. I have zero experience with them, but it's a cool idea.
So on Friday had a neighbor come over with a bobcat (yes, I got lucky as it was cheap) and help regrade my back yard. A couple of owners ago had an above ground pool, and the back yard was completely fucked up. About a 15 foot by 6 foot concrete slab and random pavers and shit every where. I helped out with a sledge and shovel to keep costs down. I thought that was going to be the most difficult day of the weekend. Got a quote for a fence that included "you could save a some cash if you could get this tree removed." So on Saturday a buddy who is into wood working and tree removal showed up with his chainsaw. The day began with "I'm not sure if this rope has enough tension for leading the tree where we want it to fall, but I don't think it's a problem." The day ended with the goddamn forty foot tree falling the wrong way, miraculously not taking out the power lines it hit and two unlicensed tree removers frantically cutting up timber in the street alley behind my house and tossing it into the vacant lot.
Counter offer accepted on our house, if all goes well we get 6-ish months of no mortgage while our new house is being built, the downside being that we're living with my parents for those 6 months.
lol, I'd actually be ok with that, the builder gives us like $150 a day that they don't hit the closing date.
All the money we banked by staying with in laws just went right back into the upgrades during the build. It was worth it but damn it was rough.
I noticed yesterday that the woman that bought our condo for $305k in 2014 sold it last month for $350k. I knew we should have rented it but I really didn't care to be a landlord.
Except for when the thing isn't getting power from the existing wires so I keep having to manually charge it by plugging it into a USB
So your previous thermostat would run, but the nest wont? Am I reading that right, or is the wire just dead?
The thing runs fine. Like it controls the HVAC. But eventually the thermostat itself dies. The wifi and screen use power obviously, and it isn't getting power to charge itself while running, so it eventually dies. And yeah, the HVAC panel itself has a wire coming out of the 24V. Plugged that into the nest, nest reports no power coming from it
Do you have a multimeter? I would trace that cable/wire back to the HVAC unit and try to see where the breakdown is.
Have any of you guys installed a mini split a.c. to provide better control of a single room? Our den is south facing without any shade and is the most miserable room in the house even though it is where I like to spend most my time. Would adding one there, completely independent of the rest of the house hvac, to supplement my air conditioning be the magic bullet I am looking for? halp
Nelson I had a Nest at my old house, for a while it kept dying - ended up being some fuse on the unit itself that was bad, I guess whichever one allows power to flow through that wire. It was very strange.
Is there a C-wire (probably black) on the thermostat end of the HVAC cable Nelson ? I was going to type out a troubleshooting guide but I'll just wait for photos. I'm not a licensed home electrician but this should be something I can figure out.
there are 3-4 "extra" wires coming out of the thermo end. I have no idea what they're for but they weren't connected to the old "dumb" thermostat. I've tried 3 of them as the C wire and none had that kind of current apparently
I think that's a good reason to add one. We have 2 unfinished "bonus" rooms above a garage and bedroom that we are adding a multi zone mini splits. I was quoted from 2 different HVAC guys and both recommended different sized units. Make sure you ask how they determine the load calculation. One recommended a 24,000 outdoor unit and an 18,000 and 9,000 indoor units. The other was 18,000 outdoor and a 12,000 and 7,000 indoor units. Ironically the prices were very similar so I'm going with the larger units. Below is a good reference for Fujitsu. I also was told that the ceiling units I'm getting are a total of $600 more than the wall units. http://www.fujitsugeneral.com/us/re...alcyon-mini-split-2016-full-line-brochure.pdf
I didn't install one myself, but I have one in my office (addition to back of garage, so no HVAC). It's been reliably awesome for 3 years now.
Not being a smartass Nelson, but you have already consulted this link right? My Nest Thermostat won’t turn on, what can I do to fix it? https://nest.com/support/article/Ne...g-red-light-below-the-display-What-s-going-on
its possible that since the old thermostat didnt use those extra wires, they may have never been hooked up to anything in the unit
I'm actually already considering putting one of these in our new house for the basement next summer - there are two window units down there now. I'll be interested to see what you think of it if you end up installing one.
