SIAP and not to spark up another grass debate but I found this kind of interesting. I follow some guy on YouTube for lawn tips and he was saying the issue with the grass at the Super Bowl was mostly due to two things. - When they put the field outside at night/in the morning the temperature gets low enough that when they move the field back inside/it warms up there’s going to be some dew on the grass. Usually they can dry it off with a leaf blower but probably was happening mid-game. - They usually overseed with rye grass because it recovers/grows in quicker, but to make sure it looked good for the SB they overseeded at a way higher rate than normal so the grass came in but didn’t have a chance to actually establish roots like it normally would.
The grass reminded me of when I’ve used Scott’s patch and repair on my yard. It looks full and lush, but it’s just growing in the mix it comes in and just barely clinging to the actual soil below.

Finally received the hat I ordered on championship Sunday and it’s hilariously poor quality. They made the hats and slapped logos on later and the logo is 1/4” off center and probably 20*+ crooked.
